Neighbor Trying To Stop Garage

In 2 weeks work on new garage starts. I had to get a building variance, I was told as long as no neighbor protest it its a sure thing. I went up to country house last night for mail. I got a letter from building dept 1 neighbor is protesting they did not give name but said reason for protest " Their view would be blocked". It could only be one house, there view was of MY WOODS. I had to fight myself not to storm over. I took a valium and washed it down with glass of wine. When I was feeling calm I skipped across the street and knock on their door. The house was all lite up I think they had company. Wife answer door and looked very surprised to see me, I said I needed to talk was husband home. She did not invite me in which was kind of rude. When husband appeared I showed them the letter. They both claimed it wasn't them. I said I was sorry to have bothered them I was sure it was since new garage would be built right across from their house. Both looked very uncomfortable I politely asked if they they would do me a favor.Could they let it be known on the street that if new garage doesn't go up a 40 foot Hooters billboard will. I wished them a happy Thanksgiving and left. I will call townhall in a couple of days and see if any changes

If they want to play that game, you should have taken a petition for all to sign allowing the garage. They would have to sign or admit they stopped garage.

Valley building has to be so many feet from wetlands and so many feet from street. In order to be legal with wetlands, I will be closer to street then allowed. Variance for number of feet to street. Killer is over the years 4 of my neighbor got variance for different thing, I never protested any.
