I am completely new to growing sweet potatoes. I have no idea what kind I have but they are growing on the ground like vines. I was just wondering when I would know when they are ready....are they going to grow flowers or something or will I have to dig under and feel them?
Ok ..thanks. These were given to me from someone else and I had no idea what kind they are. They are starting to get tangled with each other and with my beans... I should probably cut them back a little. Thanks for the help! :happy_flower
The title pretty much says it...I have never planted sweet potatoes and decided to put them in my garden this year so I know nothing about them. I have noticed that they are "crawling" all over the ground like a vine. Should I stake them up?
Thanks for any help in advance :thumbsup
I'm from Stanly County. I just started planting for the season today. Right now I have better boy tomotoes, crook neck squash, cucumbers, sweet peppers and hot peppers. Next weekend I want to get potatoes, green beans and butter beans in the ground.
