YEAH! i'm so glad i didn't ruin my garden before it even started. i changed the timer and this morning i have peppers coming up.
why are they sprouting so fast?
well, i've had it on too long then. can i save them from bolting or doing poorly outside by changing the light schedule now? i meant i have seeds growing in my herb container as well as my tomatoes in my mini greenhouse.
can i save the baby plants? or should i take them out and start over?
i started my seeds on the 7th and they began sprouting last night!! these are tomatoes. i think i am leaving my grow light on too long, what do i do??
i also have sprouts growing in my herb container, is it too late to save the sprouts?

i think i'll get 2 of the winesap apple trees and just choose my favorite out of the shade and flowering trees.
what can i do to protect the trees from the horses? and when is it safe for them to be unprotected?
when i got my seeds the other day, i saw that they had a nice selcetion of flowering, shade and fruit trees for sale. i'd love to have a few apple trees, maybe a flowering tree in the front of the house and i need a couple shade trees for the horse pastures. i guess i'm just not sure which to...

thanks everyone, i will get a book as soon as possible. i'm so glad you all gave me such great advice!!
how do i find out which sort of trees are non triploid and early to midseason bloomers? i was hoping to plant a cherry tree to accompany the apple, will that work?
i'm in zone 5, but very close to being in zone 4, so only buy plants that work well in zone 4.
i had thought about taking some out and adding soil and composted manure in.
i am wanting to do a HUGE garden this year after my giant failure last season (go figure.. :lau)

i am planning to expand the garden and it will get at least 8 hours of sun, if not more

i tried my hardest last year and failed miserably...out of 10 tomato plants and 8 green pepper plants, i had one tomato plant make it.
i have no idea what to do with the soil to make it better. i would really love to do LOTS of vegetables, fruits and possibly some herbs in my garden. i have...
