Hi @catjac1975, if you are referring to my roses, weep no more. :hugs
My roses live on in the photos I take, when some are still in bud or the blooms are freshly opened - some with raindrops, from an early morning Spring shower. :)
They will eventually die anyway - This way we get to...
I plan to do a controlled planting of 100 Wild violet seeds, that I bought online. We are calling our land Devonviolet Acres. So, we feel its only right that we have an abundance of violets on our give acres. We tried to bring some plant's with us when we moved here, but they didn't survive the...
Thanks for your suggestions, Baymule. And thanks for confirming that I actually AM crazy!!! You would know!!!
We don't have a bathtub, so no need for bath oil, but I might make the oil to add to a face lotion recipe. Great idea!
I really like the idea of Wild Violet Jelly! Adapting...
When we bought our little farm last fall, the front of the house was planted with red Floribunda Roses.
This Spring, when they started to bloom, I was thrilled! They looked so pretty!
Then yesterday, as I stood enjoying them, it dawned on me, that I had a treasure trove of rose petals, that...
What I have is called "Familial Essential Tremors". My mother had it and my son has it. It is caused by a defect at the base of my brain and there is no cure. If I HAVE to write something, I can go really slow, but it is really shakey. If I'm in a hurry it turns to scribbles and even I can't...
Thank you. :love
I'm an artist at heart. Over the years I have done pencil drawings, calligraphy and watercolors. Now I am limited, because I have hand tremors. :th:he
So, I have turned to photography as my form of expression. A tripod really helps. :celebrate
In the Summer of 2013, we joined Horn Farm, in York, PA. They had a beautiful organic Community Garden, where we rented 2 - 20X20' plots (total 800 sq feet). This was taken in June. It shows our garden with the Horn Farm house in the background.
This is a Black Iris, that I started from about 5 tubers, in about 2010. I kept dividing them, giving them away, planting new areas, and in 2014, I had about 100 plant's all over my little garden.
I just posted 3 photos on the Spring photo contest, but have so many more, I thought I would post a few here. I planted this Sunflower by our front door a couple year's ago.
So many photos and I can only post three!!
:barnie
Next I chose a Morning Glory, that I trained up a Teepee made from 5-6' lengths of electrical conduit anchored in the ground - 2 feet apart, in a circle, and lashed together at the top. I then ran a spiral of string from the top to the bottom -...
This is one of the progeny from my Craftsman style cottage in Rochester, MN. I found the original Violet plants in the grass, dug them and planted them as a flowerbed border. I ended up with a 15" border along the front and sides of my house. Each time I moved, I took some with me. This photo...
