Lows in the 30s around here this week. Chance of a freeze for next week. Very chilly weather for this part of the country. I’m afraid we’re headed for a rough winter.
Pretty much every library has an online lending option. Once you have a card you can read online or on an app like Libby. It’s great for if you live a long way from the library. They usually have options where you can change the font size and type if you have trouble seeing in a screen. The...
It’s 46 with a high of 78 this this morning. I plan on staying under a blanket all day. I’m thinking im thinking it will be both tea and coffee this morning. Green tea with breakfast and coffee for church since one of our out buildings still doesn’t have heat.
Life style change is my goal. I know otherwise I’ll probably end up losing 5 pounds and gain 10. I don’t have the kind of willpower needed to follow any of those fad diets. After a week of being hungry I’ll give up and eat nothing but junk for another week.
I’m quick to form habits though so...
Currently drinking a cup of decaf with a new creamer. I don’t particularly like it but it’s not horrible for the amount of calories. Been trying to lose some weight so I’ve been drinking a lot of tea and coffee lately.
Favorite home grown off of the list is probably chicken noodle.
But my favorites not on there are potato soup and egg drop soup (the kind with vegetable and and chicken or shrimp in it not the gelatinous oil and overcooked egg most places sell)
It’s been the coolest rainest August in my memory and it’s turning into a cool rainy September. Normally August is our hottest month and the 2nd driest. With highways in the mid to upper 90s and little to no rain. This year we’ve had above average rain and highs in the low to mid 80s most days...
I’m well aware. Luckily, I’ve had one bite from an unvaccinated animal and in all cases the animal could be monitored. I’ve gone to doc for every bite just because of the high risk a infection rabies being a concern or not. The vaccine just offers an extra layer of protection and you still need...
We’ve had a rabid possum before. Luckily no raccoons yet but we’re reducing the population to try to lower the risk. If I continue to do foster cats I’m going to see if I can convince my doc to let me get the rabies vaccine.
He was fine in the end but had some pretty nasty burns and a few actual cuts from pieces of shell. It would have been that bad but he was leaning over the bowl when it exploded so it got him in the face. No lasting scars from it (at least that I’ve noticed.
I work in a fast food place right now and I agree. The prices are insane. You could buy two days worth of food for the price of most of the combos on our menu. And the ones that are remotely close healthy are by far the most expensive.
I’ve only tried the sun tea method once. I wasn’t fond of it.
We do the hot brew method
E. Other. We drink Milos tea. It’s a regional brand based on the southeast. I know they’ve expanded some but I’m not sure how far that is.
I honestly have no idea which I say. I’ll have to try to listen...
Asimina triloba wild cultivar. We have a large patch on our land that I would like too enlarge or even maybe start a new patch. The seeds failed to spout in part due to an animal that seems fond of the seeds and dug through my pots. I plan on trying again this fall.
I got some growth from one...
