I usually use a q-tip with water to clean the nostrils in the evening. During the day at work, not so easy. I take quercetin daily for other issues, so I'm hoping it helps sinuses too.
Car windshield frosted, hopefully everything survived the nip and frost. Most of the tomatoes are still in the house but have long outgrown their pots.
I could only hope the freeze killed off the pill bugs???
On my second cup. Considering intravenous hook up today, might shy on sleep do to a pulled muscle from yesterday's ventures in frost protection for 3 raised beds and a deck full of flower pots.
Mother Nature is vindictive....
I have been sneezing my butt off for the last two weeks. I don't normally have allergy issues, but pollen has been REALLY high around here. Was hoping the rains and chill would have reduced it, but noooooo.....
Wow, that looks REALLY close! Dave's garden is an excellent resource, it's been ages since I've been there. It may be the lack of full sun why it hasn't bloomed. We have some Bradford pear trees we've been taking down that shade it. Time to finish that job!
As a follow up, the Master Gardeners, along with the Extension Agent said likely some sort of lily. I'm not sure what do with that info, it's in part sun and decent soil, so let's see what happens this summer.
I am a retired Master Gardener, lol. Likely I'm friends with whomever answered the phone. I'll be seeing most of them tomorrow at their annual plant sale, but who wants to claim ignorance in front of friends? 😂
Hussie ( as a kitten) was bathing one evening, and I did a double take, and said little girls don't have one of those! His long fur hid many things, lol
My garlic is about 12" up already, it's in the same bed as the lettuce mix. Since I don't do it in huge volume, I use a raised bed down by the house for it. If my 'dealer' has a decent crop this year for softnecks, I'll likely replenish me seed stock and go for a larger bed in the fall.
We made the initial batch of raised beds with 2x4s as a frame for corrugated metal sides. No rotting wood, which attracts pill bugs and other assorted nasties. 2 beds that we kind of threw into the veggie garden of 2x10s and lined with plastic have pill bug infestations we can't seem to get...
My sympathies @Jane23 that is not an easy project no matter what. I am currently in need of lifting virtually all my plants out of my flower bed, primarily because of an unwinnable infestation of some sort of weed grass with horrid runners and pea vine that just won't die. The soil we used (in...
I have been researching a plant in my yard online (I may have inquired before?) and I'm just getting aggravated when all I get is 'here buy this' advertising that is NO help. Yes, I need an app on my phone that doesn't dump even more advertising on it. And free would be nice too, lol...
I lost my life long (2nd grade) best friend this past April, very sudden. Her Mom is still alive at 93, but time is limited and she fades in and out. I've tried speaking with her but it's not a satisfactory conversation for all involved. Not having my friend to talk to, especially since...
