Ouch. I wonder sometimes, if the pain has actually lessened, or have we become kind of numb to it?
Mine situation was two-pronged. A nerve was 'snagged' (surgeon's official technical term) while my degenerative discs, signs of arthritis, along with scoliosis were collaborating to make life...
Part of my MIA time was spent with a pinched nerve and degenerative disk problems in my back. Extreme pain in the lower back and into the left leg, had me hobbling around like Quasimoto. Had surgery December 15, and got the all clear from the surgeon this morning. I timed surgery...
I guess my question is, would they do better in a fresh pot? I'd like to get enough flowering plants to make use of them. The pot is well sized, I'm just not getting very many plants/flowers from them.
I tried chamomile 2 years ago, in a pot on the deck. Got some leaves, maybe 8 flowers, let it go. Last year, got about a dozen flowers (same pot, self-seeded), but only about 6" tall. Wonder if I'll see more this year? Or do you think I should transplant once they show up?
Maine Coon! Beautiful, beautiful cats. My neighborhood cat, which spends a LOT of time at my place, has Maine Coon in him. Ear tufts, the mane and just generally long fur. Even has the mild temperament, he's a love.
I do plant cool weather crops in spring and late summer/early fall. It gets too hot and humid come July/August around here, just about everything either bolts or mildews. I'm considering some sort of fan set up to reduce that.
Usually a canvas "sail' that blocks the sun for parts of a garden or patios if it's too much. https://kgorge.com/products/outdoor-waterproof-sun-shade-sail-opaque-privacy-protection-canopy-rectangle-uv-block-for-garden?variant=43338085040362
I've thought about a sun dodger, but that's almost 'too much' shade. I have row cover, but it won't hold up for long if I use it for shade cloth.
Does any of this sound suitable for rational with the DH for spending money? 😄
@Gardening with Rabbits We have had the same thing, not all leaves down (that happens usually end of December) and we seem to have every other day of rain, then we got some snow (that's normally a late January thing) and though I know it's 'healthy' to leave the leaves down for bugs and assorted...
I'm trying some new varieties this year, as I mentioned in the Coffee thread, to try and break the 'bad crop year' cycle I seem to have gotten stuck in. Yes, I've done all the rotation, checking soil quality and such, but have had issues with growth and production likely due to inconsistent...
I've been MIA for a bit, but I thought I'd say hi and enjoy a cup myself. Someone raided my Vanilla Caramel creamer at the office (again) so I in turn raided someone's half n half. Talk about chain reactions, lol.
I hope everyone has been doing well. Been an interesting few months that has...
@baymule I have been MIA, and just now saw this. Healing thoughts and prayers for an easing of the pain.... losing someone who is part of your life that somehow made you whole, is not ever going to be easy.
Blessings.
Welcome from Tennessee!
Yes, slugs enjoy themselves here, some growing horrifyingly large (ICK). Bigger 'pest' is those hoofed beasties that taste test everything in the yard, even when the plants are called euphemistically 'deer resistant'.
