A Little Green to Cover ..

Everyone's gardens make mine look so messy. Beautiful! I actually planted a Knockout rose under my kids bedroom window to keep them from climbing out. Of course it was only to the back yard. They were too young to be thinking about anything else at the time.

The ones I've seen are bigger than my Chihuahua. If they weren't outside I would might try living out their. I've tried everything I know but they are dang smart. If something hurts one of them the rest will stay clear. My grandson (the one in my avatar) did say Poppy should shoot them with his...

I never really liked peacocks. Too loud and they use to hog the cat food. I would have to guard the cat while he was eating for some friends. Nyboy I have a rat snake living in my garage. I'm hoping he'll find his way to the pack rats. No mongooses for me! I'd rather have the snake than the...

2017 Little Easy Bean Network – Everything Beans, Post It Here & Join The Fun

My Kentucky Wonders tall but just a few blooms and the pintos I planted to replace the Kentucky Blues that never came up are only about half as high but they are starting to put out runners. I only grow beans for green beans so I'm hoping they do something. I wish I had the room to grow at least...

My son (12) got all excited last night when he turned around and saw a rat in the living room. He start screaming like a little girl and the rat ran back and forth for a moment and then disappeared. I put out some more rat poison for what good it will do.

We have big ole pack rats. Not in the garden but in the house and chicken coop. We were all in the living room the other day and one ran from under the chair my son was sitting in right by my husband's feet. He (DH) was visibly shaken. I kept telling him but he didn't believe me.

What Did You Do In The Garden?

Often we (Southerners) can have a second crop but many a gardener has volunteer plants where a potato was missed when digging.

    Season started.

I use to stake my pepper plants because they grew so tall and they break easily in a heavy wind. Last year in the garden it was the first time anything was planted so the plants didn't get all that big but I got a lot of peppers. @jackb have you tried mulching with foil? I've heard that peppers...

What Did You Do In The Garden?

I have peppers on one of my plants but I'm not sure what kind until they get bigger or I eat them. Potatoes are dying back. I still need to replant my squash. I think I only have one yellow crookneck and one zucchini. Definitely not enough. I have maybe six cucumber plants here and there. Really...

What a sweet girl you have. My grands went home Friday after being here for two weeks. Miss Emma (5) told me she wanted to live here forever because she is a country girl at heart.

What Did You Do In The Garden?

I was out in the garden showing DH my plants when he said that my tomatoes needed tied up. He pulled at one and it flopped down and he saw the string I had it wrapped around. "Sorry" He was going to fix it and I said don't worry about it, I'll do it myself. This is the only thing he has done in...
