I have carrots left in the garden from last season too. It is the cold that gives sweetness to the carrots I find. Maybe thats why carrots grown in warmer states with no cold don't taste as sweet.... :hu .

That's great to hear that in NC their starting to plant already. I have some fruit trees down there, I wonder if the buds have sprouted yet. Spring surely is very exciting. Lets hope warmer weather will find us soon.
Roots are definitely a great sign that the tree is still going strong. If it were me I would plant it in pot now with soil, it should produce bigger roots in there.

It was around 18 degrees this morning, I sure hope winter will come to an end soon. I'm noticing the daylight getting noticeably longer which feels good :celebrate . Soon in a few weeks the clocks will need to change an hour forward.

Winter Storm Nemo is heading for Northeast!!
We're expecting 1 foot of snow to fall here. It's been below average snowfall so far this winter. Its going to be a Blizzard this time tomorrow. I hope everyone is ready and prepared.
