Well, we ended up with a lot of these:
... and then a ton of these flying around, mating, and (assuming) laying eggs:
The GF is still struggling with how she wants to proceed.
Winner!!! Yup, that seems to be what we've got!
Ok, so no feeding it to the chickens. :D
... now my GF has to make the hard decision what she likes more:
Healthy passionflower vine
Happy butterflies
We've got a Passionflower vine that is getting devoured by these guys. Any ideas what they are?
They only seem to be going after the Passionflower vine, and nothing else in the garden / yard.
Once we figure them out, we'll determine if it's safe to feed them to the chickens, and then how to...
I totally feel your frustration and concern. I too wish everyone would enter their locations.
Making the field required is definitely a recurring request on all my sites, and the perfect answer is always missing :(
After years of discussion, opinions, debate... and even some experimentation...
Funny you should mention that... I had actually bought a bottle of it and added it to my gas and engine oil!
I'm a huge fan of this youtuber and got the idea of seafoam from him:
LOL, give the wild oat a couple of weeks and it will get dry and tan. Right now all the hills and mountains are SUPER green with it, but once we stop getting rain, it quickly dries up and becomes a big fire hazard!
I'm in a pretty temperate (and almost ideal) climate in the SF Bay Area. I'm in...

:hugs

Y'all are just too kind. Your words and actions (especially those that are supportive and helpful to others) are GREATLY appreciated!!
As part of my chicken grazing frame experiment on BYC, I planted a few BOSS (black oil sunflower seeds) to grow in the house.
They've actually been doing pretty decently inside.
... except we just noticed a ton of what looks like "webbing" and tiny buggies.
I'm guessing some kind of spider...
I'm in the East Bay too, so there's a really good chance the same squirrels would be going after our fruit too! They definitely decimate our pears, etc. :(
In some ways that sounds like FOREVER, but in other cases, it comes and goes so quick!
I'm definitely going to have to get at planting a...
