    Potatoes going to seed?

Growing potatoes from true seed is a fantastic thing to do. You have two advantages, seed grown potatoes are a good way to remove some disease issues that build up from cloning and secondly you can select for potatoes suited to your conditions or other needs. It is easy to do and does not take...

@sea-kangaroo Okay the left photo of your Blossom Valley segregates is just amazing! Please take another photo after they have dried down for a while so we can see their final color. Your extra white seems to be the result of climate and soil something @Bluejay77 and I have noticed quite...

    Green Taters

I would advise caution as it doesn't matter if it is surface or not, if the potatoes are green anywhere then they should not be eaten and instead be saved for replanting or otherwise discarded. Potatoes contain glycoalkaloids (Solanine is the main one that I remember) mostly in stems, leaves and...

    Blody Butcher Corn

Was your new seed from a different source? If you're lucky it might be far enough removed that it will help return some of the genetic diversity.

2015 Little Easy Bean Network - Old Beans Should Never Die !

Thank you for the offer, I got lucky and between the last post and this one managed to get a packet that was the real deal courtesy of a small organic seed supplier whom I forgot had a small rack at a local store.

I'd suspect since one of the seed coats looks like Cherokee Wax and one looks like Contender that it is more than a coincidence. I'm not sure if commercially available Cherokee Wax here is the real deal. I have Contender and am considering repeating the cross out of sheer curiosity to see if...
