I quietly moved over about 3.5 years ago, will be 4 years in June. The Irish love children! We have a saying here "It takes two people to make a child and the village to raise it"
Oh it is, much! We used to sell those in our garden nursery in S.A. and had a few growing on the property as well. I haven't seen one since I left S.A. It was nice to see it here this morning :)
Just want to leave this here for anyone who may miss the thread in the announcement section:

It was suggested a few days ago that we have an emoji added here in memory of Alex. I chatted with @Nifty about our options and here is what we can do. We can use any of the images here: https://www.stockunlimited.com/
For something specifically related to TEG/plants, here are some example...
Just wanted to let you all know I am talking with @Nifty about adding a new emoji to the forum here in memory of Alex. I'll let you know how we're proceeding soon.
I still can't believe he's gone and will miss his posts and stories very much! He was such an incredible person.
Sometimes when a prominent member on BYC passes away we change their title to a custom title to reflect that. Alex's title is the default "Garden Master" at the moment. I can change that to a short custom title if you all have something in mind. Have a think about it and let me know?
:hugs Same here... I learned yesterday evening that an 18-month old nephew of mine got killed by lightning on Wednesday evening. Then I came here and learned about Alex's passing... I said to my son yesterday evening the Grim Reaper is busy this new year and he replied "God made two mistakes" :(...
I don't post here much, but I love popping in and reading the threads, especially his. His wonderful way of looking at life, his stories, anecdotes, humour. I'm shocked and saddened by his passing, though I had little interaction with him, apart from liking his posts and occasionally posting...
I'm so shocked and sad to hear this :( I always enjoyed his threads and posts so much. He was such a wonderful, funny man and will be much missed.
@moxies_chickienuggets condolences to you and his family :hugs
