@flowerbug…I see how you acheived that full landscape bloom. You have established a beautiful landscape design. It certainly is a head turner. Very pretty 😍 . I planted a section of Irish moss which also flowers under a dwarf maple tree and another small spot with thyme several years ago. They...

What Did You Do In The Garden?

@flowebug… got ya. I’ve heard of flowerbeds , but not necessarily the sheets part! 😉 I agree a lot of plants that will look tattered and moldy in winter are easier to remove while dry . The snow /ice storms we seem to get will only freeze them to the ground. It’s a lot easier to clean up now...

Just did the door kick again… but.. instead of the door this time it was a doggie interactive ball thick heavy plastic 6” size and center gyroscope. Purple toe ! Deicer on garage door great idea. I’ll remember that this coming winter. 👍

@SPedigrees solar lights do add a bit of color in winter gardens. I keep a few out in protected areas to store light. I use the blow up recharge solar storage light when we loose power, kept in sunny window. And bring in all the little post solar bugs inside to light up a path thru the house...

What Did You Do In The Garden?

@ducks4you Great idea 🤩 I have decoupaged holiday pics on canning jars then fill with fairy lights. The batteries are a bit of a pain. You can add fairy lights to just about anything . Wreathes, swags , table center pieces or whatever for the holidays. @SPedigrees Said have - “ Las Vegas area...

What are You Eating from the Garden?

Many moons ago when canning foods from the garden the way to tell if canned food is bad is if the metal lid is bulging or dented. Or any food that when opening spurts out liquid or has a foul smell. Anyone make refrigerator pickles? Refrigerator pickles don’t need a hot water bath. They are...

    Coffee

@ducks4you If only the leafs are shedding off the cherry trees / no fruit, then I think you are right about the affects from no water/drought. Have you had a chance to dig around the tree to check the roots . If dry soil and brown roots it’s a gonner. Is the cambium layer in the bark still...

@Dahlia some veterinary services include cat and dog care while the parents are away on vaca. I would trust a care center at a veterinarian. Otherwise it is vert tricky. Sometimes Facebook or nextdoor have posts available for pet care. Generally speaking neighbors take care of our dogs and cats...

    Your Weather, 2024

@digitS' there could be a transition pattern from El Niño to La Niña in PNW which could bring more moisture. https://www.koin.com/weather/el-nino-to-la-nina-transition-expected-impacts-likely-for-the-pnw/

    Baymule’s Farm

@baymule How’s the weather up there on that tall ladder? OMG painting is a lot of effort especially up and down ladders . I think you did deserve a nap . Your energy level is amazing. I have a few days every once in awhile when I get an energy burst . Not very often… Paint looks like a nice...

    Concerned About Growing Old?

@ducks4you WOW Great story. Arabians are always trying to out smart us. I have so many stories about my Arabians I don’t know where to start. I can honestly say they would never leave my side. They were trained to stay next to me in any position I took. Follow my walk , run and stop on a dime...
