Ha...true the stakes aren't nearly as high in gardening as in raising ducks for the first time. :p
Well, all of St. Louis is improper, imho, which is why I live so far away. I'm about 40 miles southwest of the city limits, but only about 15 miles before I hit St. Louis County.
It's funny you mention that. I'm trying to get used to other forum type places in case BYC ever does an update.
Backyard Chickens was my first exposure to a forum/thread type of environment. I started there 2 years ago when I got ducks. I do know the basics there.
That's a great idea! Raised beds. That will probably be less work than trying to amend my soil.
Thanks! (hope I did this quote thing correctly...still figuring it out.)
Thanks! LOL...conversing is always nice.
My biggest challenges will be drainage and soil conditions. It's unreal here. Everything is clay & rocks. I've lived all my life in MO, but coming up on just 5 years here & have always had real dirt rather than clay.
Hi Mary & thanks for the welcome.
I don't have a proper garden. There are some good sized flower beds and I have lots of things growing throughout the property. We're on 2 acres. My plan is to read/learn as much as possible this year in the hopes of having a nice sized vegetable garden next...
