    Covid

I'm sorry about causing this discussion. Just to clarify: trees do not explode out of themselfs in Europe. There are not extremely explosive trees in Austria.

    Covid

@valley ranch What you show here is that we are all susceptible to conspiracies. If you hear lies enough times you start to believe them. The way I see it from across the pond is that your country is heading for a authoritarian regime under Trump if not a dictatorship and/or possibly a civil...

    Covid

I'm beside myself. Why is the US president not in quarantine? Parading in his car for supporters. Why is he wilfully disregarding the health and safety of the special agents around him? They have no choice but to do their job. What do they get in return? A 14 day quarantine with or without pay...

    What are you canning now?

I should try them like that, over here we generally only have them stewed with wine. No, I don't can them. I put them in a jar hot, then add the wine syrup and screw on the lid, turn the jar up side down. That gets a vacuum seal most times and stays good for a year or so. They don't last that...

2020 Little Easy Bean Network - An Exciting Adventure In Heirloom Beans !

They are not that big, maybe 1cm at best. They grew as a pole, like the outcross did last year only not very high and I got 5 purple pods from it. It's other siblings are still climbing, well over my head and have just started to bloom, so am hoping for dry seed from them!

Your best tips for growing lettuce

Lettuce doesn't need any extra fertiliser, just a healthy soil. I mostly sow directly with a bit radish and then thin while eating, first baby plants then pick leafs from the bottom up, the plant will keep growing while you harvest. I will always let a few go to seed so save for next year, I...

    Discombobulated

17.200.000/6.157= 2793 And 4000 new cases last week, week before that it was 2500, numbers are rising again over here. And it's not just about deaths, a lot of people that didn't need hospital treatment need a long time to recover and then still have lower lung capacity. Doctors don't even...

Four Monthes of Unprecedented Government Malfeasance ```

No it's not, ours could do better on the whole, but it's not malfeasance. I don't agree with the article though, if anything the US government reacted too slow to the Corona virus and kept downplaying the seriousness of it. And then demanding to reopen too soon. Making a pandemic political and...

    What are you canning now?

Sure, I will gladly share the recipe. Zucchini Jam 1,5 kilo / 53 ounces of peeled and cleaned zucchini, soft seedy part removed. Peel all the green away because it makes the jam look more appetizing. 1 package of gelling sugar special (500 grams for 1,25 kilo of fruit) 2 lemons 1 orange Grate...
