Jen's old and new Dutch garden 2019

Cork is sustainable in the way that it's a natural material and that it regrows after harvest without cutting down the tree. I don't know how sustainable the glue and other products used to make it into a finished product are. Thank you for sharing the article! The gardens are pretty much...

2019 Little Easy Bean Network - Come And Reawaken The Thrill Of Discovery

The woman running the site does something similar as Russ, she also has a network of growers to multiply seeds. This is my 3rd year multiplying seeds for the bohnenatlas. Last year there even was a meet up with growers trading beans, stories and looking at the collection of beans, but I couldn't...

    Back to Eden Gardening

If rhubarb is doing well it's okay to pick a few stalks in the first year. Go easy and the roots will still develop just fine. I did this myself and now in year 2 I've got stalks of 2 pounds!!! Ans a killer leaf... Enjoy!

The cork boards are called tiles and are 100% cork, 4mm (5/32 inch) thick and are 300x600mm, about a foot by 2 foot. They are quite flexible and easy to cut to size. My wive glued the tiles a day before and we gluad the floor on the day, hammering the tiles into place. I got them straight up to...

    Favorite Garden Tool?

My favorite tool is pictured below, would you call this a hoe? My favorite one has a longer handle, but otherwise same as pictured. It basically is a multitool, I use it for weeding, preparing for sowing and planting. If I would be allowed only one gardingtool this would be it. I have this...

And we have a finished floor and working lights! Yeah! :celebrate It was a late one, we were done after 1 am. Cork needed 2 coats of paint and we started at 2 pm after the electrician left. Happy with the result, but my knees are spent.

    Swiss chard

I had some volunteer swiss chard between my pole beans and they did great. I have to say the pole beans did not do great but that was because of the heat and drought we had.
