    Baymule’s 2019 Garden

I will share the one pot spaghetti recipe later, but here is the recipe for traditionally Dutch "boerenkool": Cook the potatoes and kale in separate pans. Add some broth powder to the kale when it starts to boil. Drain the potatoes and add a lump of butter, mash the potatoes and add some yoghurt...

    Baymule’s 2019 Garden

Kale is great! Over here it is traditionally eaten as a potato mash with smoked sausage. As a kid I didn't care for it much, but now I like it. If you got the palm kale like in the photo, we eat that with spaghetti, feta cheese and cherry tomatoes its delicious and a one pot recipe!

Jen's old and new Dutch garden 2019

That bench saw a lot of action, I think it has been used by all my siblings in new houses. I started out to become a carpenter after primary school, but discovered that learning came easy to me when I was doing what I liked and went on to make building plans as a craftsman using cad programs...

Jen's old and new Dutch garden 2019

No garden work but preparations for the new house and I've done some fixing in the bathroom. Our house is put up for sale, exiting times! Today I started to build a small work bench. I'm making a copy of the one my father build probably 40-ish years ago. He's already been gone for 25 years now...

    Weather Where You Are

@thistlebloom let's say I managed. Yeah the extra seat is for our 6 year old son. Slowly he's getting to big for it. I've started with a seat on the steering wheel with a windscreen when he was almost a year old. I'm really liking the seat on the bar, works great. My wife has a seat on the back...

Jen's old and new Dutch garden 2019

Did another 2 trees, still another 8 to go! I had hoped that the ice was strong enough to stand on, but it wasn't even close! It was a tough job, I'm feeling my back and muscles! My farmer friend stopped by as I was finishing up to talk about the hay. And also told me he was getting a price for...

    Weather Where You Are

I didn't take the picture so I won't post it in the pow thread. The windmill is still being used, although it's function has been replaced by an electric waterpump. The mill can still mill water to the canal after heavy rainfall. The vanes only get a cloth for extra wind when there's almost no...
