Never mind! For example I keep saying that white beans are boring and suddenly it turns out that I have a dozen new varieties again :) They just attract me like a magnet. Recently, I was attracted by more from the Basque Country, Germany and France.
@Bluejay77
I'd love to grow Hidatsa Shield Figure, Ruth Bible, Cranberry Flieder and Tuvagliedda Rossa for you. I have my own seeds. This will be my emergency contribution to this year's LEBN if the beans that I wrote about in a private message did not reach me on time.
Hello from Poland!
I'll plant Ugandan Bantu this year and see what I get in the fall. I'm also planning other multicolors like Dakota Bumble, Thousand To One from Terra Edibles and again Beefy Resilient Grex. Will be interesting.
I also sowed the seeds of the lima which I received described as Garrofon de Valencia. The seeds were cracked under the coat and had trouble sprouting. I had one weak plant of them that grew not very well and only had three pods. That's my entire yield.
However, it doesn't bother me, because...
My 2021 lima beans.
Florida Speckled
Potawatomi Lima - this bean, like the Florida Speckled, grew in a new place that I prepared on the edge of the swamp. They both gave me the best lima yield I've ever had in my life. Beautiful, thick seeds. I am going to enlarge the cultivation area on...
I don't have Rouge von Paris or Piros Feher beans, but I have a very similar Dusslinger Backerschurze from Germany.
I can't compare the taste of Beefy Resilient Grex to the taste of beef, because I don't remember what beef tastes like. In my region, it is rather not eaten. I could compare it...
These are the last common beans I have grown in 2021.
Teaching Drum # 27 - bush
Jack In The Beanstalk - pole. I sent 30 of the prettiest seeds to @Bluejay77 . These are smaller than they should be, but nicely shaped. I will sow them this year and hope to be able to return the rest of the...
Tonawanda Variant - pole. I got two types of seeds. Such looking seeds I received from @Bluejay77 so I assume they are correct.
The second type is flatter and angular seeds with a gray coating.
There is not much information on the Internet about this bean. I also found a mention of the...
@Bluejay77
I didn't get too many seeds because I only had two plants. This year I will be growing it again, so if you want I can treat it as network bean.
This was a trial shipment to test a new way to deliver the beans to me. Direct shipments to Poland were complicated by the new customs regulations in the EU. The way through my friends in England has proved effective although it will be longer but safer. At least one benefit from Brexit :)
@meadow
Save some just in case. Last year, I failed with three network beans. I have not planted all the seeds and will have a second chance this year.
I am slowly finishing documenting my last year's harvest. There are only a few varieties left to be photographed.
Kilham Goose - semi runner
Beefy Resilient Grex - semi runner
Alice Sunshine - bush
Schwarze Kugel - semi runner
Tarahumara Bakamina - half runner. Last year, this bean grew...
