These young tomatoes are really looking good.

I am SO jealous. My started plants always look like crap and have a terrible root system. Once planted-if they survive me-they do well. I’m an embarrassment for someone that made a living in AG. Guess I need to stick to field crops.

    Tomatoes for 2023

I started some “improved” Better Boys. When they were looking good-along with 4 different types of peppers and the orange o hearts, I sprayed them with a carbon source. HUGE MISTAKE! Lost 1/2 of them, rest look bad. Dumb on my part.

Land prices will continue to be strong until the credit card companies want paid, new car loans become due, new tires, repairs, etc., then watch the collapse. Most people have put very little aside for hard times. Nothing stays strong forever.

    Thinking of a Move

My folks retired by Lake Monroe. Would not recommend it as county reports a 90% government aid population. Locals are one step above “Deliverance”. Realities are all crooks-the stories I could tell...... Out of state people are “sheep to be sheared.”.

So sad to see food waste :(

I see things a little different. Garden waste-not getting it picked in time is the start of the food for the next crop. Not really lost. Stores lose some-don’t know how you get away from that as they can build in a “loss” factor when pricing it out. Selling it at discounted rates messes with...
