Alright, friends — finally, able to start working on the garden. Making THIS the year it happens. I already have a 2x16’ bed in with some blueberry plants in place. Today I got the first of 9 raised beds built and into place. So exciting to finally have progress!

It was c-c-c-COLD here today — the wind had a serious bite to it... We could see it snowing on the mtns east of Hayden/Athol... brrrrr. Enough already...

The snow we got last weekend was enough for me... seriously already ... it’s April! :)

i use them in my pantry to store all kinds of dry goods, too. They're my fav's!

i still have two feeders out too, just in case. :)

We are not seeing many here now... I wonder if they know something about the upcoming winter; I hear it's expected to be a doozie.

Picked 5# of blackberries today. Gave some to the neighbor.... will freeze the rest and use them in smoothies. Used the last of the previous pick in a blackberry fruit bar this morning I made for some visitors we had stop by. Mmmmm. :) Made a half gallon jar of refrigerator pickles. More...

Picked a gallon and a half of blackberries in my berry patch. Mmmmmmm....... so many more to come on, too!

I think from now on, I’ll all myself “tarragon” instead of a hermit. :D

Thanks for the comments. I’m really looking forward to getting things started. We’ve had a couple setbacks this month, but I expect to get started in August. I really want the large beds in place this fall ... no more dilly dallying! :D

Watered. All I had time for around the patio. Mulched the new flower beds by the coop, and put in two more large stepping stones by the coop yard door, to match the two I put in front of the coop last week.

Oh my gosh — i didn’t realize it put out different colors on the same plant! I just thought it was a crapshoot on what color it put out. I’ll be looking for that one again now too! I saw lots earlier this year... haven’t seen it for a while now. (Note to self... steal it from TB...) :cool::D;)

Ooooh thistle, don’t tell me these gorgeous reds won’t survive!!! :hit I will seriously cry. But i did have that gorgeous Cherry something or other a couple years ago — it didn’t come back.... :tongue
