I harvested two times this summer, flowered again in August, will get a few more it looks like before frost.
Size of peppers are 1-1/2" X 1" now.
Estimated 1st frost in about 4-6 weeks. Been moving potted pepper plants from outside to inside garage when below 70° outside at night, move back...
The three options is:
Onion seeds
Onion sets
Onion starts
I believe you're saying 10/15 is started from onion seed.
The spring plant is started from onion starts.
Zone 7a, usually plant around mid to late October with onion sets.
Not sure about onion starts.
Prefer seeds.
Also can the same seeds be planted in early spring with good results?
Trying to learn about the Texas supersweet onion, and planting times. I believe it is a shortday which would be correct for my zone 7a. It can be planted from seeds or starts. I prefer seeds. Its also known as a 1015 onion.
I think the plant date is 10/15 in fall.
Maybe best results is fall...
Lol,
My pepper seeds was a mixed variety of all colors that produced 25-30 bell peppers per plant @ 3" wide and long. Have made lots of stuffed bell peppers.
I think the peppers did ok, but I think could have been better.
There was a lot of bell peppers on the plants, 25 to 30, but small like 2-1/2 to 3" . Not sure why so small, other than maybe to many bell peppers to support large ones.
I did have enough to make stuffed bell peppers dinner 2 times...
Looks like my bell peppers are done growing. I have 25-30 bell peppers on each plant. The majority of the pepper's are 2-1/2" in diameter X 2-1/2" long. They are starting to turn orange it looks like. Their not getting any bigger cause so many I guess.
Maybe I should cut all but 12 off each...
Never grown or stored peas before.
Just wondering what to do with them as harvest gets closer. A lady in my area said they freeze well. I could remove from pods freeze them on cookie sheet, then bag. When taken out freezer thaw and they would taste same as if not frozen. She is aware you can't...
Hello,
My bell pepper seeds was started indoors 2/19/24. They remained indoors until the night time temperatures was above 55° which came a week after Mothers Day.
My opinion is I planted the seeds a couple weeks too early.
At time of transplant outside 5/23/24 they were a height of 18-20". They...

This is all the bell peppers I cut off my wind snapped pepper plant this morning. It had 51 bell peppers on one plant, not to mention all the flowers that was still on it & new buds still coming out.
Never seen so many bell peppers on one plant before.
This evening I was in the garden harvesting garlic that I planted last October.
At that time their's a chance of a thunder storm and high wind gust picking up. I looked over at my pepper plants that wasn't staked & two of them had snapped off. One 2" above the root ball & one in the root ball...
The beans that look ok the old potting was amended with new potting mix, compost & organic nitrogen before planting.
The beans that don't look as good old potting mix was amended with new potting mix, compost & chemical fertilizer 10-10-10.
I think there is a little chemical burn going on there...
I did open up one pea pod this morning for taste test. It was filled out 4" long. I think it could mature a little more. The taste was ok 😋.
Just think it could mature & fill out a little more. All are 4" long & under.
Most are under 4" long.

Didn't have the organic 10-10-10.
Maybe should have...
