Trying out some green beans in a container first to see how they grow. Some started out good some didn't, but slowly coming back looking better.
I think I know whats going on here.
I will hold off on my thoughts to see if someone else comes out with the same thoughts.
I will share my reply on...
Planted peas 4/29/24, today is 44 days been planted. Maturity date is 6/29/24, 61 days. 17 more days till maturity. Some are 4" long now, some are smaller. Some have swollen, some have not.
Pea packet says harvest peas when 4-1/2" long. Guess I'm waiting until pea pods are 4-1/2".
Looking for...
My peppers was planted from seed 2/19/24. A bit early.
Have cut off at least 100 flowers per plant in the past month.
Transplanted after night time temperture maintained 60° 5/23/24 at 20" tall.
Nice thick stalks full of flowers. now.
Just transplanted my bell pepper plants 5/23/24, and the plants are 18-20" tall. I know if you pinch off flowers for too long the July heat will drop your bell peppers and flower blooms over 90°. But also I here pinch off until one month after transplant which would take me into mid June...
I have more seeds maestro peas and bush bean blue lake 274.
Guess I could sow either one down the middle I think.

The pea package recommends thinning every 6" at 6" tall.
Maybe to keep from being to crowed and better air flow.
Update Maestro Peas,
First time planted 4/29/24 and today the crop is 4" high.
Probably could have planted another row in between these two rows, but maybe next time.
Haven't pinched them or staked them yet. Guess it will be soon now.
Just have to figure when the right time is. Hope I'm doing...

I was thinking just straight post each end with horizontal string at bottom and top with vertical zigzag string pattern across from one end to the other looping top and bottom horizontal string. How would you string a T-post. Not sure how you would do T-post unless...
I have two rowes. Would the two T-post go in between the two rowes catch both rowes, or T-post both ends each row, and running string horizontal and vertical?
Ok, thanks very much for info. Maybe 4" would be a good point to pinch back cutting couple sets leaves.
Also do you think bamboo sticks would work ok for staking.
I'm assuming would have to put a bamboo stick for each plant.
Or should I go with stakes on ends laced with string back and forth and...
