As some of you know my daughter was born in May. Well, she's not the only new addition to our lives. I also have a new blog because the old website lapsed.
franklinfarmstead.com is in full swing with two posts a week right now and Kathleen is growing like a weed.
She went from a 3lb 5oz...
I know there will be many more posted after this but thanks, you guys! we are actually doing OK except for a few minor setbacks. I got my blog back up and going and it'll be live next Wednesday!
We have a coop frame and the stuff to frame the fencing its just having time. Our five month old makes it hard for both of us to work on it at the same time plus having the same days off.
We can’t have her in the house. Its too small. But we’re cracking down on getting the coop finished. The temps change yearly but the lowest i can remember was 15 degrees. Snow is my biggest worry, i can use heat lamps for cold but snow equals wet which can make the cold worse despite a heat...
My poor little Pumpkin is the only survivor of my flock. A racoon got Pepper and a weasel got Cadbury. Now Pumpkin is having a hard molt and is so lonely. DH said I cant get new chickens til we build the new coop that we’ve been trying to construct for a few months now. I would go sit with her...
Sorry its been so long but im not sure how many of you are in SS. Kathleen cane home July 9th. She is now 3 months old and weighed 9lb 14oz at her last doctor visit. She can hold her head up for 20 minutes and loves/hates tummy time.
I haven’t eaten it yet but when I woke up and opened the blinds to the window over looking the garden and saw this bad boy on the ground instead of the vine. We’ll be having it for dessert tonight
She’ll be two weeks old tomorrow and as of last night is one ounce above her birthweight. Sadly she is still very small and they have a few tests the want to do before she can come home. Best case scenario she comes home in 2-3 weeks worst case is mid August
Well Moose jinx'd me! My beautiful daughter Kathleen Grace was born at 10:25 AM on May 15th, she was 3 lbs 5 oz which I'm told is big for 29 weeks gestation. She is in NICU on a CPAP machine but no other breathing assistance
This is the original seed Russ sent me. They started out as wb-pkt #35. They look nothing like what Russ sent me. I wanna say I got them in 2015? I sent him some of what seed I got that winter/spring and then tried again with the same seed he gave me and got a plethora of seeds, some of which I...
I’ve attempted to plant them all. Some I just bought at Wally World a couple weeks ago others I probably need to check the viability. My stepson has a school fundraiser selling all sorts of boys and bobs. And it has seeds and bulbs :thumbsup
I also know some will ask. My grandmother made the quilt on my bed. I don’t know the pattern but it was free handed on a quilting machine and given to us a couple christmases ago.
so im pretty sure I need to join garden addiction anonymous. The ones next to my leg is a pile I couldn’t get to layout for the photo. I also have two sets of flower bulbs I need to get planted. And my amazing hubby said I could buy more
