I’m going shopping later and I need a meatless Monday idea for supper and a few other days here and there. I’m already making a soup i got off the thread nyboy started. And we’re having tomato soup on the other meatless Monday(we plan two weeks at a time).
I have an over abundance of bean seed! They’re an outcross that I got from Russ. This year the bean skins were a deep purple that cooked to a nice dark green and when dried the seed was white. I’ll send them to whomever would like some.
Can there be red&yellow plums?! The leaves are skinny oval shaped and very glossy. I guess I'll have to eat one to find out :plbb If they're the tart ones I'll be making pie and getting more jars to can some filling and some jellies I've had recipes for for awhile.
please tell me that I found a cherry grove at our nearest fishing spot? If it's edible cherries not the ornamental I'm coming down here with buckets when I go on stay-cation.
My squash plants have been over run with squash bugs. Been cutting the leaves off and burning them in my pit in the back yard. Those squash bugs get freaking huge! I had one almost the length of my thumb yeasterday and it was fat :somad of my plants. We'd had so much rain I didn't even think...
As soon as I saw someone identify it as a weed I pulled it. I found another one just like it today so I pulled it too. My beds are over run with grass but I have trouble with two spots in the front yard. Go figure.
What is wrong with my rosemary?!?! It's been in sun for about 7 hours a day on the east of my house next to my flourishing snap dragons. We had a lot of rain but I brought it in for the worst of it since I was worried about high winds

Almost everything is in the ground! I have a few herbs left and the potatoes to chit. Blueberries will get planted tomorrow or this weekend, oh and the beans. I planted one variety of bush bean but not the other or the pole beans so those will hopefully be going in tomorrow. The late started...
So now the onions, corn, sunflower and garlic are all planted Tomorrow I'm gonna clear out the bed for the blueberries and eventually black lace elder. It's gonna need acidic fertilizer that I already have and I'm looking about for some free pine needles to mulch the berries with
