Not long. It will send out roots in the soil. It may not bloom next year because of its' cannibalization. Let in grow putting it outside in the pot in the summer. Fertilize it to rebuilt the bulb for next time. Let the leaves grow lush.

WE have had a bit on snow the last few days. You real northerners would laugh at our snow and chuckle at us freezing when it it almost 30 degrees. But when the sky is dreary I try to put some organization into my photos. What a sight to behold from last July or so.
