No one mentioned- don't accept your inheritance from your grandpa dying of COVID. 🥺 Spent all day Friday and today, trying to get...

    2021 Margali's Garden

Plants are not liking the heat. I've been watering but today I had bright idea. Filled up a gallon jug and put mouth down into each planter with stick of firewood to brace it. Trying to replicate the delicate, tiny glass selfwatering bulbs.

@flowerbug The fenceline is currently good enough to keep a horse inside. What I can see is 4 strand barbed wire. We will be on piped utility district water. Johnson County will not issue a well drill permit for our land. The city limits is the other side of the street.

So no truth in advertising, gotcha. Creek behind property is East Buffalo Creek. Couldn't think on anything useful with that especially since I do not have access/water rights to creek.

Pretty sure this property is ours. :) We are in underwritting with survey scheduled for ~June 30th. Next hurdle is I need to figure out where to park RV and temp barn. The property has Ag Valuation for property taxes. The current grazing tenant may not stay so I need to get animals onsite by...

🤔 Yesterday MIL mentioned they don' t have enough chickens to keep their ag exemption. 🤔 Leasing bees is qualified activity and only requires 6 hives... I could have my bee hives, they get a few $$ and their ag exemption... 😏

@baymule we did and they rejected it. The truss was manufacturing defect. It had a big knot in the wood which cracked.

    2021 Margali's Garden

Walked the acreage during inspection today. There is a mulberry and a pecan tree on property along with live oaks. Yummy! I don't know how to tell if good pasture or not. It's green with lots bare spots and long dead grass smashed down. Husband is still there with inspector.

    2021 Margali's Garden

Planted asparagus in blue barrel. The crowns were really brown and dry but flexible so we'll see if they grow.

I'm not sure if loafing barn will stay there. That is the NW corner of lot and lowest, soggy elevation. From SW along that edge, it is garage, pool, barn, quonset hut for tractor, and loafing shed.
