thanks guys. Now that we know where some is I will direct her to this forum.. I will also post the studies done on bindweed for cancer treatment so you will know for reference.
I have a friend who is self treating her breast cancer. While she is doing well with the use of MMS, cancer levels dropped to half after starting it, she wishes to make a bindweed tincture to add to her protocol.
She thought she had bindweed then came to find out that it was the wrong variety...
I didn't have enough bees in my garden until my borage bloomed in mid summer.
What can I plant in my veggie garden that will flower early that attracts bees? The marigolds didn't do it.
That wiki page gave lots of info. Thanks... I had heard elsewhere that some people cook it like spinach. I might try making stuffed manicotti with it instead of spinach.
It really is the grandest plant in my garden, its so vibrant. I plan on having several next year and certainly will put one...
I have the most beautiful borage plant in my garden but what to use it for? Its in full flower now, been flowering for over a month and they sure keep the bees around.

How about a mouse trap or 3 or 4?
I use them all the time. I get them at Lowes and bait with peanut butter. The thing about the traps from lowes is that you never have to touch the mouse or even see its eyeballs popping out. They are easy to set and no danger of getting your fingers...
So what got me to thinking about this was that I am building a lasagna garden, and I'm using all the usual stuff, staw, hay, kitchen scraps, homemade compost... and then it dawned on me that everything I am using is nonorganic and likely comes from depleted soils...

Ok, I got my bokashi compost bucket set up and I started making my mother serum. I'm hoping to make enough to cover my whole garden with microbe implanted newpaper just under my compost planting mix
Just the idea for having a compost bucket that does not stink is worth it
I've been exploring bokashi further
I've found that many of my neighbors make it and use it in their garden. It really seems to fast forward compost and makes the plants grow super strong and fast.
My neighbors all do lasagna gardening and I am preparing my first beds right now. We have a...
