I'm in Nampa Idaho. I think its zone 6...It still isn't very big, but has grown a lot since I've gotten it. It usually isn't windy. Once in a while, but not often. Thanks! :D
Hi! I got a tomatillo plant a couple weeks ago. I hear that they get really big and that they seed a lot. How do you manage them? Will they completely take over a garden? Can I trim them back so they aren't as uncontrollable? Thanks!!! (:
Update!!! I'm super excited! Look what I found on the watermelon plant today!!! I hand pollinated it just in case. I hope it worked!! The plant has grown a lot!!
I make salad jars. I dunno if you're a salad eater but they have a lot of recipes on the internet if you google "salad jars." You can make 7 at a time and eat them throughout the week and they won't spoil. I also do the same with strawberries and watermelon. It helps! lol (:
I agree! They taste and smell soooo much better than the store bought carrots! I don't actually like carrots but I do like the carrots I grew! (my first year gardening) And they're super easy to grow too!
I have a Roma tomato plant. It has a couple baby tomatos on it. It's bushy and on the shorter side but no suckers sticking out from the bottom. Maybe dig some of the dirt out from under it and see what happens? Since you've planted tomatos before im sure their not but are they buried too deep?
I looked at all the tomato plants carefully today. I have six of them. 1 big boy, 1 roma, 2 early girl, and 2 others that I forgot the names. All of them have baby tomatos!! :D
The seed package says the carrots will be ready to harvest next Thursday. So in 10 days! I counted the carrots and there were 102!!! I decided to pull one to see where they're at. (: I don't actually care for carrots but it was juicy, tender, and delicious! (:
Hi! I would really like to grow some micro tomatoes (or any indoor/window plants other than herbs!) If anyone has some seeds I would be willing to trade for some other seeds.
I have these seeds:
Bush Champion Cucumber
Romaine Lettuce
Bon Vivant Blend Lettuce
Sweet Basil
Mammoth Sunflower...
