Thanks thistle - that's what I thought. I think I'll ask my boss to check into buying these for our greenhouses - he can get a better discount than I can.
I see absolutely nothing wrong with the vegetable plot - I think it is very cute and maintained! I'm seriously thinking about digging up my front yard and planting okra.
I've been looking for two specific varities of echinacea seeds: Milkshake and Tiki torch - all websites that I go to only sell the plants anywhere from $10 - $12.95 for a little plug. I'm wondering why I can't find these seeds - would if be because they may be new varities? Here is a pic of...
Welcome Bluejay - I'm so glad you joined us! My favorite beans are great northern and pinto - with roasted chicken, garlic and lots of cilantro! I've never grown anything but pole beans and didn't have much luck with them. I'd love to try again with some you may recommend.
I agree with Lesa. I would try again - I've found so many ideas, helpful articles and fun projects on Pintrest. I have several boards that I refer back to for articles on different websites and for yummy recipes that I've found. I have several boards and a lot of followers. I love my Pintrest!
Lucky you, V! We've had days and days and days of rain, and it's not over yet. :hit Rain is in our forecast today and all next week - I can't even go in the yard without boots, much less the garden. Cloudy and overcast days are in my future. :(
I also use straw for mulch - I run it through my shredder first because it's easier to handle and stays together better.
Thistle, $2 a bale?! Lucky you - I pay $7 at my feed store. :(
I can sympathize with you baymule. Even though we dont live on the frozen tundra, it has been cold, rainy and very gloomy here for days!! We have dense fog this morning that makes it even more depressing its supposed to start raining again on Tuesday and rain through the week. :hit
I start out organized and then my plan goes off the rails! This year I vow that I'm NOT going to be an impulse buyer and then run around the garden trying to find a place to plant.
I also start out with a garden journal, but that is quickly forgotten - I'm going to try it again this year...
I must have missed this post back in July! Beautiful garden, Smiles - are those beehives I see in the 3rd picture? A belated congrats on the new-to-you tiller!
