    I love the sports....esp. if the mother variety has a unique shape and produces a mutation with an even more exciting color/pattern than itself.

    I planted about 1,200 tubers this year...going to start digging them up this week. I store mine in shavings as well and keep the temp. about 45 degrees. I'd rather be planting in warm Spring than digging in colder Fall. My best to all....

    I got the last of my 1,200 Dahlias planted this last week here in Antrim County.....throwing in some tomato and eggplant transplants this week.....I had 40 lambs born this Spring and so far...16 Pyncheon Bantam chicks have hatched. Have a great growing season and my best to all, Rusty

    I finally got the last of my Dahlias planted today...about 1,200 plants total. Down from a few years ago...but 3 times more than last year. I would love to hear how the Dahlias are doing in other people's gardens in other parts of the country/world.....Happy Growing!!! Rusty

    Cold here as well.....I've had 16 lambs born since Monday...Thank God they were born with sweaters on!!!! My Dahlia tubers are sprouting in the basement....over one ton of tubers down there waiting for warm weather. My Pear blossoms are in full tilt right now....I hope the cold has not...
