@baymule SBG is short for straw bale garden. My plants are still tiny so it's mostly the bale they've infested

So my SBG is over run with this tiny smaller than a pinhead red bugs! DH says they're aphids, I'll get a picture later. I know ladybugs are the best thing for aphids so what can I plant around the SBG to attract ladybugs???

Put my six tomatoes into the bale garden and three peppers (one bell two hot)

The way the branches fall they'll land in the chicken yard. A good portion used to land on top of the shed so it wasn't that bad

According to the book you can grow up to 48 carrots in a bale :-)

@ninnymary yes it's a dog crate. it was the big girl brooder when they out grew the tub we had them in. I love spoiling my girls.

It's been over a year since anyone has swapped seed. @HotPepperQueen I actually got to start the seeds you sent this year. All but two varieties germinated and I hope to save seeds from them :-) Do we wanna start it up again?

I'm able to do 15 bush beans in my SBG. I'd be game, can't really seperate though. They'd be growing in the same half of the bale that I have designated for beans next to my cucumbers

What's the difference of outcrosses to heirlooms. You make them sound like heirlooms beans that are still in their infancy
