Thank you Steve and ridgerunner!
That emoji with the "pompoms" In its hand is funny.
I am looking forward to getting them.
I love dahlias but I have never grown them.
Thank you,
Fionn.
Hi ridge runner.
I will be putting them all into pots as it's easier to look after.
Instead of me disturbing the tubers next autumn,
Could I just bring the pots into the polytunnel over winter?
Thank you for your reply Steve.
I hope to get a pack of pompom dahlias.
If the tubers they make don't store through the winter
I can always plant some more!
Thank you again,
Fionn.
I Had a look at the websites,
And I noticed the Irish company dosnt have a big selection.
I suppose that's why the shops here don't sell their seeds.
The English company has a bigger selection but still not as much,
As much as the big companies.
I might try a few seeds from them next year.
Thanks for the links!
I have never tried the company in cork.
I am only around 2 hours from west cork,
And I never heard of them!
I will also look the the other company.
There isn't any big seed companies in Ireland,
That's why most seeds people use are from uk.
There sure is a lot of different,
Seed companies.
Most of the seed companies you have all mentioned,
I have never heard of.
I have to say suttons and mr.fothergills are my favorite seed.
But I ordered all of my seeds from suttons this year,
Because there website seems more modern.
What do you...
Hi all,
I was wondering where all of you buy your seeds.
I get mine from suttons, mr fothergills and carters.
Sometimes I get them from Dt brown but most my seeds are from suttons.
All of these are companies in uk but I order them online and they send them to Ireland for me.
Sometimes they are...
Hi Steve,
Well now you know someone else who grows it too!
Some people don't like it though,
And they say it can be eaten raw but when picked young it can be.
Today I planted a few seeds into seed trays
Summer cabbage (golden acre)
Cauliflower (all the year round)
Peas (early onward)
Broad bean (the Sutton)
Perpetual spinach
And I planted some strawberry runners.
Hi all,
I contacted the company and the man who owns,
The company was the man I was talking to ( it's only a small company in Ireland) and he said the earlier you start chitting your potatoes the better.
He said he usually starts chitting his main crops at the end of January,
As its better to...
Hi all and thank you very much for your supplies,
I think the sarpo Mira is a new blight resistant,
Variety only sold in uk and Ireland,
The home guard is an old variety which was,
Very popular here in WW2.
I think I will send the company an email and ask them,
About what they recommend.
If they...
Hi all,
Thank you very much for your replies.
I have a larder/pantry room where I could store them.
It's not too big.
There is no windows and the door Is always kept closed.
It's cooler in there than the rest of the house.
They should store in there.
I will also ask the company I am buying them...
