@seedcorn Go have your water tested. Many times your guppies will be fin burned or just slowing down from water conditions so that others will "git" them. Some tetras are fin nippers but neon tetras should not be. Plants will break down if you have a bad water test. Test for pH, ammonia...

for those who have top starts and can't get them to bud up, put them in a clear plastic bag with a piece of apple and seal it. The gas that apples produce help the pineapple bloom....

That is very cool. I have heard of that but never seen it. OUr snow didn't develop as large as they were expecting but I still think we are in for it on Tuesday.....
Wow what damage..... I can't even believe it's a rat. You can get that tree saver tape until you get rid of them. That will stop them from chewing completely around the trunk. Once that happens the tree will die... There is no saving it....so the tape is a temporary fix.
@PennyJo My hubby, the shopahaulic, keeps allot of chain link fence on hand for future use...He is always looking on craigslist for that stuff...and flee markets and garage sales.

Up until last year we got all the double ground mulch we wanted for free from our town...Last year they charged us $10 per bucket load. That is about $3.33 per cubic yard.... totaling about $500. GOT THAT???
