    Weed or flower? Updated

Doesn't look like black eye susan to me, I have a bunch of it growing in my gardens. It does kinda look similar to a plant I have, not sure what it is yet. I think it came from a wildflower seed mix. It didn't flower last year, but it looks like it will be this year.

    The blue flower

Looks just like a plant I had started from seeds, the package said canterberry bells. For me it was a biennial. I have been meaning to get more because it was very pretty and did well.

My Feverfew is blooming like crazy!!

I love my fever few. I've got seedlings popping up all over, going to wait till they get a bit bigger to pot up and take to my mom. I have never seen them at a nursery, at least around here. Mine started with one scrawny little plant I found hidden in some bushes. I dug it up and put it in my...

    Tall Snow Peas?

I plant lots and lots of sugar snap peas every year and they get about six feet tall. I was surprised last year when I planted shelling type peas (first time planting them) and they only got a foot or two tall. As far as I know it is not unusual for snow and sugar snap peas to get tall.

    need perennial recommendations

I know this is an older topic but I wanted to say that if you plant morning glory it will cover the trailer and it will spread and come back from seed every year. I am trying to get rid of it this year after having it for a few years. It is a super fast grower and spreads like crazy. Very pretty...

    Flowers or Weeds?

I have #4 in my garden ( I didn't plant it), it spreads but not bad at all. It is well behaved here. I think a lot of it has to do with your area and your soil. We have clay, the plants do well but they do not take over.

gift cuttings rooted - now what are they and were to plant?

First one looks like wondering jew, around here it is a house plant. You can plant it outside, but it will die in the winter and doesn't come back. The second one looks like what I know as purple waffle plant. It too is a house plant. You see it a lot sold for fish tanks, but it will die if...

    moving my compost

The first time I made compost it was an accident. I was weeding at my mom's and putting everything into a trashcan. The trashcan got full and I tried to move it but it was too heavy so I left it where it was and it was forgotten about. This was in summer, it sat all winter and in the spring...

    I Bought a New Book

I have dogs and cats and still have critters in the trash, not often. But it does happen. We also have deer, rabbits and squirrels in the yard and gardens. The dog smell does nothing to keep them out, or the human smell. The deer use the streets as trails, and the rabbits nested in my garden...

    I Love Strawberries!!!

I got strawberries from walmart last year, two different types. One bag was bad and we returned it. But all the rest of the strawberry plants did great. We had lots and lots of strawberries, yummm. Now the plants are starting to perk up, can't wait for strawberries this year.

    "Shrek's Ear" plant.....

Its a jade plant, I have a normal one and one like yours too. Though after spending the summer outside it has more normal looking leaves, not as flat as my other jade. They are still kinda tubular, just not as much as went I first bought the plant.

    Climbing plant

I am sorry for anyone waiting, I have been busy, and also forgot about this topic. I was able to get photos, but I never got around to uploading them. But I am now sure it is winter creeper, Euonymus fortunei. , these pics look just like what my Mom has growing, especially the pic of the bark.

    Climbing plant

Maybe it is Euonymus fortunei, the more I look at it the more confused I get. That plant seems so variable. Some pictures show round leaves, other are long and oval. And they range in color from pale cream to yellow, to light green and very dark green. :he I will get a photo when I see my mom again.

    Climbing plant

I am sorry I took so long. I forgot I posted this. It is not virginia creeper. It looks nothing like that. Since I can't see it right now I will try to remember what it looks like. The leaves are oval/round and maybe about one to two inches long. They are also light green. The base of the plant...

    Climbing plant

I know better, but I have no pictures of this plant. Please forgive me... :hu I will get a photo when I can, but it is at my mom's house, so it may be a couple of weeks till I can get over there. She moved into a wooded trailer park about a year ago and has a huge maple tree outside her door. It...

    Sandy, Predicted

Looks like the AC boardwalk is gone now. It is getting dark and really windy here. We still have electric (and hope it doesn't go out, worried about my fish and reptiles) but it is out in some surrounding areas.

    Potatoes

Thanks everyone. There really aren't that many potatoes left in the ground, plus a couple plants from potatoes I missed in my first bed.

The cure for insomnia, aka, my 2012 potato harvest

I have a hard time getting store bought potatoes NOT to grow! I even grew purple potatoes this year from store bought tatters. Next year I was planning to just use store bought instead of seed potatoes. Where did you get those purple potatoes!? I love the color, they are so cool looking, I...

    Potatoes

I have some potatoes still in the ground. The weather has been all over the place, some days it is almost 70 and a couple of nights we have had it freeze. I was wondering if I leave the potatoes over the winter will they start growing again in the spring? This is the first year I have grown...
