If you're not confused enough yet, @Smiles Jr. , :D... here's another bit of onion info ..

Extension sites are great info for your particular area, when to plant, local pests and problems, etc., although often I notice they are not...
Beautiful butterfly! If it flew into my blueberry bushes in the fall I would never see it! That's the first thing I thought of when I saw the bright color. That would be cool to see!
The only other one I could think of is a snipe. Odd place for either bird, to be hanging out on the sidewalks.
@Pulsegleaner , you must tell them to get up and turn around. :D
All I remember about twirling the baton is whacking my elbow til I couldn't stand the pain.
It's probably a good thing I stuck with the trumpet.
I hope your daughter has a blast and sticks with it. Do they get to do competition and trips?
GREEN is a color! ;) Hey, it's carrots, it has to count.
The melons are still working on some color, so here's the beets. Biggest, best looking beets I have ever grown! We shared one for dinner tonight, it was delicious! Some will be pickled, hopefully this weekend. My grandson's favorite...
I am usually so relieved when that last crop is out of the garden. Flower gardens are usually past their beauty and I forget them til spring. About 2 months later I miss going out to the garden to pick something fun. I think I would burn out without a break from it, but I could be in denial. :D...
@journey11 , you'll have to teach your daughters to crochet or knit when they get a little older. Precious times when the kids are young, but precious few moments of free time when there's so much to take care of. I think we need more days in the week!
Two of my sisters crochet and knit. Mom...
Most of the sets available around here are short day onions and I have not had luck getting large onions from sets. I grow long day, Walla Walla and Spanish sweet red. The Walla's store very well, mine average 8-12 ounces this year.
The nursery here sells small seedlings, about 200 to a pack...
Thanks @frontiergirl53 , I think so too. She thought it was 'different' for a baby blanket, city girl ya know, teddy bears and cuddly bunnies. My DIL picked out that one for her to make for their baby and mom wasn't too crazy about it, for a baby. I think she likes it more now. :D
and I was feeling real good about my onion harvest, til now. :D
Nah, I had a good harvest, just wish I could grow them all clean like that in the garden.. instead of rain and mud.
Nice looking onion, do you know what kind it is?
My mom was so thrilled this year. She has entered her crocheted items in the competition at the State Fair only twice. Last year she took blue ribbons on both afghans. Yay Mom!
This year she entered a baby afghan and received a blue ribbon AND sweepstakes!, best in all (70) crocheted items...
How fun! I think it's so great when kids can get involved in activities that excite them.
Have you ever tried to do that? :hide
My niece gave me a lesson with her rifle, all I will say is ... ... :gig
Trust me, it's WAY harder than they make it look!
Thanks, @Pulsegleaner , I always like learning about new birds...:)
There are a couple Vireos with coloring you describe.

I'm not real sure about them, but they would be in your area and you...
Welcome, @logefarm ! Always glad to have new members join the group! :frow
I'm not real familiar with your area or pests so I won't venture a guess. Hopefully one of the suggestions can help you figure out the culprit and deal with them.... and gardening will be fun again!
ETA - Beautiful...
So glad you got to hear from your #1 @thistlebloom , and relieved the fire danger has lessened for him! Forever thankful there are brave young people willing to work hard and selflessly for others. :hugs
Our #1 is the least heard from also, busy and adventurous. I'm always torn between happy...
Well, that sure is spacing out the family. Unless it was sorta planned, wow, surprise surprise is putting it mildly! Great help there though, and a good experience for teens. :)
Glad you are okay, @Smart Red !
I broke my flip phone a while back, awful day.:D Bought a simple cheap samsung - T Mobile compatible, from wally world. It was 19.88, dollars, not year made.
T Mobile has not raised our rate in 10 years, simple talk and text plan. They converted it to...
Fraternal twins can be linked to genetics, identicals are just a double miracle.
Congrats @bobm ! Best of luck to mom and dad, a bit of work for a while, but what a joy!
How old are the siblings?
The way dh likes to spoil the grands, I think he would be considering a second job! :hide
Yikes! If it's at all possible for a little lady to strangle a deer with her bare hands, and also illegal :D , I would probably be in jail!
I guess a person just has to figure out how to live with them. :\
