Just got more planted two types of lettuce (seed) and transplanted my crimson sweet watermelons. I also transplanted my sugar baby watermelons but I think I might have killed them all in this heatwave, with not enough water.
Okay it looks like I'm going to be scattering them around the garden then. But I probably won't get them planted today, our dry streak has ended and it's raining/thundering again. :(
I'm glad to see no one else would have turned them down either, I didn't get them planted today but instead I got the coop cleaned out. But I should get them in tomorrow.
I'm debating where to put my marigolds, I can make a little bit of extra space for them but I'd rather mix them with something. I can throw them in with various vining plants, tomatoes, or under corn mixed in with vining plants. Thoughts?
And came home with 2 tomato plants, which I really don't need but they where only $1 a piece, their heirlooms, and they have pretty names of Rose and Pink Firefly! I also bought 2 iris plants one yellow, the other light violet at only $5 a piece. But now I need to get them all planted.
I planted egg gourds, swan gourds, transplanted peacock striped watermelons, and two packets of bottle gourds (one from Walmart the other from Rareseeds.com) yesterday.
Interesting, how can you tell her age?
Also I'm wonder if she had experience with traps. She was reaching through to get food and dragging the closed trap around. To catch her I had to put those bricks on top and block off the sides.
Last year I harvested mine to early, but they were still pretty good tasting, but with large seeds. Hopefully this year they will get a chance to fully ripen.
Nope Nick (our dog) has never had a seizure before.
I saw our lovely friend the raccoon today stealing cat food of the deck in the day light. He ran off and I tried to get a shot at him, but I missed due to the bottom part of the site on my 22 being gone. But the trap is reset with peanut...
Crocs yeah I can't spell today  , I still need to fix the hole and the rest of the birds (Kernel is in the house) are on lock down in the coop until I can catch and kill the raccoon (didn't catch it last night just a opossum).
