So, about 2 weeks ago we put our pepper and tomato seeds into seed pods to grow. We are just now getting a few sprouts. Thing is we planted 76 pods. Half tomatoes (beefsteak, roma and purple heirloom) and half peppers (habanero, jalapeno, cayenne and bell pepper).
Could the seeds be bad? Got...
We just got one. Well, my nine year old got one (she's a mushroom eater). And it seems pretty straightforward. We only paid $10 for it at World Market. It's Oyster Mushrooms we have the kit in the laundry room and it seems to be doing okay. Have about 6 days before it's supposed to start producing.

I planted watermelons last year and only got 2 melons. I think the dogs had something to do with that. This year I've got 2 different kinds. Hopefully one if them will produce.

The soil in the backyard is sand and rocks(with a high PH level). Water can be an issue in the summer if we dint get enough rain in the fall. But, that shouldn't be an issue this year it actually rained last month! We added some compost to it hoping that will help. I also...
I used old tires. I scrubbed them with dawn to get all the nasty stuff off. Then painted them white. I figured the black would draw heat to them and it gets hot enough here. I laid landscaping tarp in the bottoms and filled with dirt.
