    Want to see my greenhouse?

My greenhouse was made from all recycled materials except the plastic. Moonshadows that is one nice looking green house, it appears you have a lot of work to do, but it will be a labor of love I'm sure.

    My Sidekick Helper

Instead of starting a new post, I will just add to this one. Here is what I did today. Warning: Picture heavy. I received some great advice from Ridgerunner, SmartRed, and a few others here on TEG about mulching my tomato's so I did. I did put newspaper around and in between the plants and did...

    My Sidekick Helper

I had only 1 child and she was such an easy child, I tended to spoil her as she was my one and only, now at (20) is a spoiled, lazy brat lol. Right now I have 1 Grandchild and learned the first time that spoiling them only leads to trouble. I would agree that the more kids there are the harder...

The temperature here today is well above 80! After 5 days of rain it's a nice break. Had to come in and feed the troop so I figured I would share some cute photos of my Sidekick. I was mulching my tomato plants so to keep him occupied I gave him my vegetable basket. He proceeded to pick...

Understood baymule. No one said life is easy, I do not dwell on tragedy and have difficulty expressing how I feel about things. I feel every single person on this planet has issues/problems and we deal with them differently. We constructed a memorial flower bed for our baby Jaya, painted up a...

    how to properly prune tomatoes

I will mulch around my tomato plants, I like the idea of a paper bag around the plants, would newspaper work just as well? I do have wood chips or hay right now which of these do you suggest I use? Thanks

Dew, I'd love to see pictures of your roses in bloom. Where I live roses do not fair well, it could also be because I don't know how to care for them lol. Last year my roses bloomed pretty well but they are spindly, one I purchased was suppose to climb 15 feet in one year, yeah right, it got...

    Asparagus Questions

I do not compost. My chickens are my composters. I get free compost from the dump that I add to my beds every spring. Our manure gets spread on the field due to the abundance of it. I will do as you said and wait until fall when plants have yellowed and add some poo. Thanks again!

I'm very sorry about Connor. I don't know if I'm suppose to say I have 2 grandchildren or 1. I don't want to hurt my daughter's feelings and not acknowledge baby Jaya. It's confusing. The day before her due date 02/28/15 she delivered a still born baby. Fully developed no signs of trauma she...

Peace and quite is what I enjoy too and taking in the scenery. With duct tape anything is possible even a beer can holder, my mower is older too but runs like a top. I also volunteer to mow my neighbors yard (her husband recently passed) and its as large as ours and when the neighbor opposite of...
