What I did was take it straight from Google images. Right click over image - save image as - save to desktop or wherever. Then when you go to use it as your avatar just click on your saved image. Should work but might take some playing around to get it right.
@marshallsmyth do you remember...
Sorry that you're in a situation like that So Lucky, I hate neighbor's like that.
I agree with Thistle that legal action is probably the best way to go. Sometimes it's best just to go the unsavory route and get it over and done with, so as to preserve your sanity later on. I would try diplomacy...
I agree that both pure-bred and mixed dogs can have similar health problems, brought on by genetics. That's from so many generations of these dogs being bred by irresponsible breeders. If we would've been playing the game nature's way, and either culling or breeding the unhealthy individuals, I...
Thanks, everybody!
I did manage to crop and load the image, but then decided against it. The image might not have a copyright, but I didn't get permission. That and the image is of an exotic bird that somebody probably went through great lengths to get a photo of. Better safe than sorry, at...
Not sure if this is the right place to post this...
Is there a way to use pics from the internet as avatars? I found this awesome bird picture that I would like to use as my avatar. The picture has no watermark, so I figure that it should be fair game.
Thanks. :)
I think that the root of that would be the government trying to get rid of excessive industrial byproducts via the food system. What "food" that did have a little bit of food value may have lost it through weeks of sitting around.
I'm not necessarily a book person but did mange to finish "sowing seeds in the desert" by Masanobu Fukuoka in one day. I recommend it to open-minded readers; it's very philosophical and does challenge many of the ideas in place in our society (and perhaps taken for granted). The title doesn't...
So llamas are a big thing in Arizona? (meat, wool, pack animals?) There are a lot of alpaca farmers here. I'm personally a big fan of both, but my sister routinely gets spat on whenever she meets with one, so we don't keep them.
I'm loving the the pics! :)
My dad has something with naming white animal "cracker" or "crackers." But I think that it really only fits well with white ducks.
Originally (a very long time ago in China) corn was cut super small out of necessity, there was a large population to be fed. Eventually the Chinese royalty developed a taste for the "baby" corn. Overtime, this led to varieties that tasted even better when cut small and/or varieties that stayed...
We call those American Kestrels, I've never heard them called Sparrow Hawks before, interesting. The local nature center here had one that they were trying to nurse back to health, it had a broken wing. It's amazing seeing them up close.
There's a reason why their supplements are so cheap when compared to supplements and medicinal from, lets say... a health-food store, or just about any other place who's sole purpose is to sell those kinds of things.
Actually... I decided to cancel that for for now, and do it some other time. I absolutely hate to agree to something and not carry it out - but I've already got a lot going on and am planning to have even more going on this summer. Actually I'll be helping to teach people about foraging and wild...
Huh. If I had the room I'd be experimenting with crossing them with producing hazelnuts. They would make a great edible-ornamental if they did produce enough.
Hazel nut is great for healing dry or damaged skin, I use it on my acne. It would probably take a lot more than one tree to extract...
I'd recommend the meal worms or crickets. If you do decide to go the hamburger route make sure that it's a very small piece. I've had several fly traps die that way - their digestive juices weren't strong enough to dissolve it in time and the hamburger lead to rot. The Monkey Cups (Nepenthes)...
After doing a quick search I found out that Harry Lauder's Walking Stick is a ornamental cultivar of Common Hazel. I wonder if they make edible nuts? :)
