    Math Question

Good chart! Thats funny. There should be a tag inside the drivers door that tells you how much weight it can carry. I actually could fill my big pickup with rock or gravel. It's rated to haul almost 6,000 lbs.

Official TEG Poll: What’s your favorite fertilizer/pesticide alternative?

Hot pepper spray for bugs so I'm not putting chemicals directly on the food we eat. Plants don't care where their food (fertilizer) comes from as long as they get it. I buy 50 lb bags of N/P/K and mix different blends for different crops.

    Happy, Happy

That's great news. 45 years ago one doctor had my grandpa doped into a stupor over a 5 year period. The kids ( my aunts and uncles) quit that doctor and took him to another. That doc took away 3/4 of his medicine and he started acting 15 years younger.

    The Flu....

8 AM - I think I'm on the upswing now. The fever didn't come on me last night, I slept a lot better, and when I did wake up I had very little coughing. I'm still really weak. I work with the Amish every day. This bug has gone through the whole community; even forcing them to close one school...

    The Flu....

SUCKS!!!!! Everyone around here has been passing it around for a few weeks. Some get a short, mild version, and then others (like lucky me) get the whole thing. One positive thing about it for me is it's not intestinal. (This is where I would insert the dancing banana smiley, but I gave it to...

    A New Direction

A few months ago I disappeared from most of the forums I belong to. I may get back to being a part of this and other forums at some point. I still intend to put out a big garden, but I haven't got any kind of a routine yet, so I'll have to see how my time works out. Below is what I posted on...

I Learned Something About Old Ford Pickups

The body does have several rusted through spots and one front cab mount is rusted, but I think I can get another 10 or 20 years out of it. The frame is solid, but the front spring hangars on the back axle are weak from rust. I'm going to weld in some gussets for now. The drive train is solid...

I Learned Something About Old Ford Pickups

If the filler neck had baffles, it doesn't now. I changed all the rubber lines on the gas and water systems, put the right fan on, and flushed the radiator and block. I'm pretty sure the cooling problem was the fan. Here's all the pics I have now. The last pic is my temporary "gas tank" while...

I Learned Something About Old Ford Pickups

I was looking for an old work truck and found this - a 64' 3/4 ton with a dump bed. I've been wanting a dump truck for a long time. Manual windows, brakes, and steering and no fancy gadgets or computer to fiddle with. The odometer says 75,000, and from the looks of the truck, that might be...

    Checking In Again

Haven't been here for a while. I read some posts to try to catch up a little. I've been really busy and keep making more work for myself. The was the worst weed patch I've had in years The wet spring we had let the weeds pretty much take over. I was intending to do a lot of sawdust mulching...

    Enough Rain Already

Well, the rain missed.:ya It's still a little wetter than I'd like, but the Troybilt lets you cheat a little when you have to. I tilled a pretty good seedbed and buried most of the grass this morning. I'll hit it one more time in a few hours before I plant....... If it doesn't rain. 20% chance...

    Enough Rain Already

I was finally able to get in the garden with the tiller today after a month of mud. It wasn't really dry enough yet, but the grass and weeds were terrible. I had to stop several times to untangle the grass wrapped around the tines. I mowed the grass and cut the dirt in a couple places where I...

Why I Love This Forum (One Reason of Many)

I had the same experience with a Yahoo forum on tillers. Who in their right mind thought that platform was a good idea? I gave up too.
