    Brand new gardens!

Thanks guys! It's the first time I've had to do a landscape from scratch, and it was pretty overwhelming at first, but I'm really happy with the results. @ninnymary - the blue flowers are scaveola. @lesa - We're about a quarter mile from the "curb" so it's all just for me! :D (And DH, too...

    Brand new gardens!

Maybe I should've taken some "before" shots, but I guess it would've just been plain ol' dirt. Two sides of the house down, 2 more to go! :)

It's like the Peace Corps out there

@digitS' - I'm curious to see what's going to come off of the squash volunteer that's coming up. The leaves look like the zucchini that I plant, but it's vining out, unlike the zukes which are a bush variety. There's a little round squash on it. It's like a science experiment right in my...

It's like the Peace Corps out there

@journey11 , you reminded me that I found dill, too, which makes NO sense because I didn't even plant that last year.

It's like the Peace Corps out there

So many volunteers coming up! Squash, tomatoes, potatoes...I even found volunteer PEPPERS! And this is after we had a winter with a week or so of sub-zero temps! I'm usually pretty lenient with them because I've got a lot of respect for plants that are that tough. I'm thinking I might save...

Anyone else trying to use TEG on a Kindle?

Yeah, no problems logging in. The Kindle is a few years old now, so maybe it's just an issue with it being "ancient" in technology years. Sad, isn't it??

What did YOU do in your garden today :P

@Smart Red - Our neighbor was just saying that what we call wild blackberries are actually black raspberries, so I guess I've been misinformed all these years. :D And actually I HATE peas. :sick We grow them for DH. :D

What did YOU do in your garden today :P

First harvest! The blackberries came from the woods, tho. Not sure how much I'm going to get from the ones in the garden because of the rough winter we had.

Anyone else trying to use TEG on a Kindle?

This is the only forum where I actually post that doesn't have it's own app. I guess it's good in a way - you know I have something REALLY important to say if I fire up the laptop! :D

Anyone else trying to use TEG on a Kindle?

That's not the issue I'm having. It doesn't let me type in the box at all. It's like a 'dead' spot that doesn't even recognize that I'm tapping it. So weird.... :\

Anyone else trying to use TEG on a Kindle?

Everything looks fine, but I'm not able to post anything.... Anyone have any suggestions?

    Squatty Romas

I even found the plant tag, and there's no mention of them being determinate. It's been a weird year in the garden....

    Why don't these raspberries fruit??

A soil test might be in order. :) Would there be a reason one variety of raspberry wouldn't grow where others do?

    Squatty Romas

Because I had a massive failure of my tomato starts this year, I had to buy them. The Romas look really healthy, but they aren't getting any height on them. There are tons of suckers coming up out of the ground, though. I've grown Romas before, and have never seen anything like this. Is...

    Why don't these raspberries fruit??

I have 2 raspberry bushes that flower every year but just don't fruit! They are in a patch with blackberries that are way prolific, and I have some more raspberries in another place that do great. I keep saying I need to pull them out in the fall, but always forget. Maybe this year I'll pull...

So I went to the fair last night...

SmartRed, we have 8 weeks to get that all sorted out! :D We've got a place for them in the barn, but we need to get an area fenced off nice & tight for them.
