what kind do you use? we got liquid feed by miracle grow recently - we figured we could use it on all the plants rather than having to buy one for this and one for that plant..
what do you use?
OH we also use dried coffee grounds when we can get them. nether of us drink much coffee esp in...
do does one go about this and not kill the plant? the heirloom roses we planted are eight feet high (at least) and i know they need to be pruned back but i'm not sure how to go about it.
the property sold today for 216k.
we talked with the ppl who are now in escrow for it and they said we can dig up as much of the roses (and any other plants on the property incl. some cedar trees this fall) as we want as long as they don't die.
so at least i know if the ones we've already...
has anyone heard of caster beans? they end up having a thick stalk (similar to bamboo i'm told) and are not edible to humans (the beans) but make a good 'fence' or hedge. i'm trying to find out if anyone has used it like that?
the mil wants some and i thought it would go well on our back...
we worked on it for over an hour and found out that it was a TON of smaller bushes very close together. we're done for today and i have the roots sitting in damp soil until the am when i can get them in the ground. right now i'm having to treat a sunburn b/c i was stupid and didn't put on the...
i got my first good look at it today - there are two bushes planted very close together and they are about five feet high. since there are two i told my husband that it WILL get moved tomorrow and replanted (i have a spot all picked out already) . i have some photos of it but haven't...
its white, but i'm not sure what kind exactly it is. i know its been in the family for four generations. my husband's grandmother died last year and her property (12 acres) and being auctioned off this weekend.
i tilled up the spot where i want to move it last night and i'm going to add...
k so the plan had been to make cuttings off an heirloom rose bush for my MIL. now that i have seen said bush, its not nearly as big as they lead me to believe it was so i'd rather just dig it up and plant in my yard (where i can care for it) and make a cutting for my MIL off of it that way...
i'm moving some plants from my husband's grandmother's homeplace before the property is sold in an auction - one of the plants his mom wants me to move is garlic.
how do i recognize it ? (from above ground) will i be able to transplant it this time of year and it survive?
what can i use that won't kill small animals (cats and chickens) that will kill fire ants? i'm very allergic and this is the second year we are battling them.
thanks - would they be ok on a covered deck?
will i need to bring them inside during the winter?
i want to make sure that i get some to take - b/c after the property is sold i wont be able to 'legally' get cuttings from it anymore.
i'll be separating an heirloom rose bush this week and i need to know the best way to get it to root. i can't dig the whole thing up b/c its about 25 feet long. its at my husband's grandmother's house and she died last year, the house is up for auction and we want to keep at least part of the...
