Wow this is very interesting, as we all LOVE mushrooms I've always wished I could grow my own as everything is getting more & more expensive! I will definitely have to keep watching your awesome project!!
Yeah I have some, I just had it kinda laying over the top of blueberry bush until I could make a proper frame to go around it, that's what I'm working on today! Love the birds but I got the blueberries for me not them haha

81 degrees' party cloudy, light breeze! Perfect time to weed the beds! Replanted 6 Basil & 4 Jalepenos. Planted @ 40 more bush beans. Pulled old carrot tops to feed to the chickens, now time to relax & watch the chickens peck peck peck

we bought our house @ 12 years ago & the couple who lived here actually built the house in the 50's & raised their family here, & he planted it so I'm guessing it at least 50 if not older....

Thank you, I looked into the Lamium & I really like the look of it, might be something I'll have to try out in a couple of spots.
I like the hostas too, but don't know about planting them directly in the soil around my large oak.... Would hosta do well in large pots?
Or any others suggestions about anything I could put as ground cover that can take full shade, or any out of the box thinking ideas I could use...
There's lots of leaves & lots of raking that happens, so it would have to be something I can rake or blow leaves off
