I've never sprayed any of my trees. I'd rather use natural pest control, if possible. I know sometimes it is unavoidable, but I don't like the idea of pesticides on my fruit and vegetables.

So the tomatoes and peppers survived the frost last night. We'll probably cover them again tonight, just in case. Can hardly wait til Saturday so I can play in the dirt some more!

Didn't get to plant anything yesterday, it was raining buckets! And today it's blackberry winter, so nothing going on again! On a good note, DH got me some apple trees, and some peach trees. So this weekend I'll be planting trees! :)

What an excellent way to do double duty! I wish there was a compost facility near me! As it is, just have to make do with my home compost bins!

Monday is my next off day. Planning on putting the beans in, possibly kale, cantaloupes, squash, and corn. Maybe cukes as well. :)

Won't be able to get much done today, have to go to work. On a brighter note, the peas and beets are poking little green leaves up! I picked three strawberries from that strawberry patch, the plum trees are nicely leafed out, and the cabbages are coming along nicely!

Planted onions anyway! Didn't catch any fish, even though they were jumping all around me, taunting me! Gracie Goose laid another egg, but I don't know how in the world she squeezed herself into the chicken's nest box! Now off to get the taxes done, as if Uncle Sam ain't taking a big enough...

Since tomorrow, well today actually, is not a sign for planting, I'm going fishing!

So today, still too muddy to do much, so I pulled some weeds and gave them to my chickens.

So, today I planted tomatoes (3 types) , peas, and peppers (also three types) . After that, fed and watered the animals, gathered the eggs, worked on fencing, cleaned cages, washed dishes, did laundry, made supper, and now .... I'm pooped!

It looks like the sun is back! For today at least! The ground is still mushy at the moment though. :( I so want to play in the dirt! In other news, my tomato starts are doing well. Think I'll get some peppers and cucumbers going, maybe even some watermelon, cantaloupes, and pumpkin. :D

It's been raining off and on for two days now. So it looks like I'll just be doing my starts for a bit.

Wow! You've been busy! As to that table, why not use it for your "experiments "? Things you're not real sure about just yet? Even if critters have been playing in it, it really shouldn't be harmed any.

I am soooooooo jealous! My green house is little more than a plastic wrapped shed, and I only have an acre and a half! I call it my microfarm. I do have chickens and ducks, and two small dogs who think they're a cross between a herder and a Rottweiler. (They're actually Chihuahua and dachshunds...
