Ok, now that we've discussed candy from the past, what is your most hated candy or dessert? I will start out with marzipan. Chocolate covered marzipan is probably my worst.
My kids foraged some chanterelles this week and they brought them over tonight. We made beef stroganoff with the freshly picked Chanterelles! It was my first time eating wild Chanterelles!
I forgot about the candy dots on paper! There was a cute little downtown shop in CA that sold those. Oh, and I do remember the Jolly Rancher thin bars that were like 4 inches long by 2 inches wide and my favorite was cinnamon!

My son had an interesting opportunity to help out a friend on their chicken farm a couple weeks ago. He helped with one of the many steps they do when processing their chickens - he did the gut removing step to 100 chickens! He is now a pro!
We roast 3 chickens outside on a spit all afternoon and then cook the following dishes in Dutch ovens in the coals: mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, rolls, yam bake, green bean supreme casserole, and pumpkin pie. We also have homemade cranberry sauce, homemade cheese balls with crackers...
