Mine are pretty attatched to me already. It's kind of cute that they wont stay out side if I'm not around, but they eventually come back out on their own. I still have a few that I havent seen out side yet.
I finally got them out side the saftey of their coop. Now they are going out pretty much on their own. It's pretty funny to see them come out while I'm in the run with them. If I leave the run, they all go back inside, but eventually go back out on their own with out me being there.
The weather...
As you all know it's been a while since I have had chickens. I tried to get them out into the run for a little while earlier today. Only about 10 of the 24 would go out. What have you done to get your chicks out side for the first time.
Who knows, but it's still too early to tell if they are roos or hens. I better have at least 12 hens. I was told they are all pullets. I'm going to be really upset if they aren't.
Well I am now the proud owner of 24 baby chicks. I was told they are all pullets but I have my doubts. I guess time will tell. I will post pictures later.
We had some pretty heavy snow showers come threw the area yesterday; and the robins were out in the yard until the snow started coming down real heavy.
I've seen robins here since around the second week of February. I have tulips pushing up threw the ground. MontyJ has ordered bee's and I'm thinking about getting some more hens.
So teacher's in WV walked out of the school buildings on February 21 and did not go back. They gathered at the capitol every day demanding to be heard and get the raise they desreved. No raise here for them in 14 years (2004 was the last raise)
Last night after all the teachers and camera's...
@Chickie'sMomaInNH We havent really had much bad weather since we got the Subaru. Today we got about 2 inches of snow and it's melting almost as fast as it falls. Now it's raining. I have not had much experience with driving in bad weather. I've been hearing that we might be in for a good storm...
It didnt have many miles on it last week. I have driven it pretty hard this week. We took it back to the dealership for fog lights and the remote start today. Monty said it turned over 500 miles on our way up there and his heart broke a little. We have never owned a brand new car before.
@so lucky I have always wanted one! They are one of the safest vehicles on the market. I'm glad we bought it. We haven't had it very long so I'm not sure what all it can really do. I like the fact that it has all wheel drive.
That is an excellent question @Smart Red . I have no clue!:hu:hit
Tomorrow we are taking it back to the dealership for the fog light kit and remote start.
