As long as they won't hurt it I don't care that they are there - but it's a mystery to me how they ended up there - and so many of them so fast. :idunno
I just relocated an azalea in my yard, and the rolly pollies have gone mad around it. I did not see one when I was digging the hole for it, but now the rolly pollies are everywhere... baby, teenager and elderly rolly pollies. Will they hurt the azalea? If they might, how do I get rid of them...
It has been in the upper 90's except this week it's been in the 100-102 range with heat index above that. It hasn't rained in more than a month I think, they're calling for some rain earlier next week. :woot
I have been watering twice a day, but the sun is just blazing.
I have been keeping...
half way dead. :(
The only survivors are a couple of watermelons, mush melons, tomatoes, okra and carrots. The cucumbers, green beans, broccolli, zucchini, butternut squash, bell peppers, corn, and herbs (even mint) are dead or dying.
I will have a soil analysis done to see what I need to...
You are not alone!!! I have that problem with my Lab. He loves to eat all things green! He has the worst toots (all year long). :sick But I guess I'm a weirdo I just deal with it. :idunno Hubby would like it if I gave him beano - he can't stand the green clouds, and Catfish (my dog) would...
You make me laugh. :gig
I'm glad you share your blunders with us all. I know you make me feel better!!!
I was nurturing a weed, it looked like it might have grown up to be a sorrano pepper plant - nope, it was just a weed. I fussed over that thing - oh well. At least your mistake is...
I've been adding more "brown" now. It seems to be doing ok - I will not turn it for a while so that it can heat up and kill whatever nasties may be there. Hopefull the chicken poo will help get it nice and hot. And if I have lots of "green" I will be sure to add more "brown" to prevent such...
My conditions were a bit too wet, but no animal carcasses or meat to my knowledge - so I'm still at a loss as to what they were feeding on???? Maybe something was put in there by hubby??? I wouldn't think he would "go against orders" but stranger things have happened. That's another reason...
I was worried about botulism (I've read horror stories), so I just dumped in out, some of them squiggled around and died, and some buried themselves back in - I guess once they mature they will fly off and do their thing. I just hopw there are no more when it's time to turn it... I guess we'll see.
Gotta love seeing all the new life appear form your hard work!!
I'm glad your tomatoes are getting better!!!
I have 6 or 7 cucumber plants but only 2 growing cucumbers - they are not doing well - I think I have crowded them with the sunflowers and beans a bit. :hide I'm learning a lot still...
I think anger might translate well! They may not know what you're saying, but they'll know what you're talking about. :somad :rant is universal. Sorry that happened.
