We make whipped turnips and potatoes. Cube the veggies, boil until soft - I start the turnips first since they take longer to cook. Then drain and whip together. We add salt & pepper.
Do not add milk. The turnips are more watery than potatoes. Unlike mashed potatoes alone, you will not need...
We have friends who use cattle panels to make arches for their pole and runner type beans. Works well. We were hoping to try a bed or 2 that way this season.

It's hardly gouging. We charge what the market bears, and less than the majority of other local, organic growers in our area.
Anyway, enjoyed your humor.
It'll be interesting to watch the increase in prices - see how high they actually get.
We'll be growing all that as usual. We'll only be affected by the increased price we have to charge at farmers markets. LOL
We have better luck growing them for Fall here in our NC climate. Everytime we've planted them in Spring, we only ended up disappointed.
Now we plant them in late August (from started transplants). They're one of DH's dear favorites. We never have a Fall garden without them.
My Dad (as a PA...
Luck be a lady! We're to have beautiful weather in the 60's all week! And dry....although we could use rain toward the annual total....still dry is great for tilling, prepping and planting.
DH is off to the neighbors to get composted horse manure. We have cow, pig, chicken and quail manures of...
:ya We're ready! We're in zone 7a. We get to plant onions and potatoes this weekend. We can start cole crops March 1st. And we'll put lettuce out in cold frames to start for transplants.
I LOVED your E-Z-GO. Looks nice!
Also noticed you're planning Green Zebra tomatoes this year. We grew them...
Well, we always plant in a deep row, hilling around them as they grow and finally mulching with spent straw or hay from the barns.
But I have been tempted to try a container method....like a tall bin. Mostly I wanted to see if it would work and what the yield really amounted to by growing...
We were very unhappy to hear about GMO alfalfa. That could potentially ruin the grass-fed and pastured meat industry that so many smaller farmers have turned too. Not to mention comsumers who are trying to get away from GMO-fed meats.

We have both raised beds and traditional garden areas. We like our rasied beds mostly for starting seeds for transplanting - like lettuces, Swiss chard, tomatoes, peppers, etc. We have framed covers to put over them so they can be used like cold frames.
After seed starting time we tend to leave...
I have 3 bread machines used mostly for the dough only cycle. We sell breads at farmers markets. LOL...I line 3 bread machines up on the counter, have them process a double batch of dough each, and get 6 total loaves from the run. Usually go through that process twice on Fridays.....12 total...
Well, we have very few commercial cans of anything in our cupboards. We grow, can and freeze almost everything we eat.
And we're one of those folks at the farmers markets selling to others. At this time of year we have no produce to speak of. We take our pastured meats, jams/jellies, homemade...
