I raise my own free range chickens ..they are very healthy..Never had a case of illness from the eggs. No salmonella. As for store bought eggs and shells? If you eat the eggs and dont get ill..I would not worry about salmonella from eggshells.
Here is the Sakata's Sweet in a hanging basket..Just at the soft green stage, before turning slight golden..later in the season. Some of the leaves from the vine were starting to turn brown at this stage..
I have grown Sakata's Sweet the last couple years. The first year I tried to grow it up a trellis in my garden, and while the plant did pretty well, I did not get any melons. I planted late in the season though..They need a longer and hot season to produce full size....So get some started...

vfem, I have a few seeds saved from an Heirloom yellow slicer that I grew in my GH last year. It is a large yellow slicer, with a mild mellow taste. I aquired the seeds last year from an Amish gentleman, who has huge gardens and a Farm Market. The seeds have been in his family for at least 55...
