I don't think you would have to worry about reading someone's signal other than yours since it runs on a private signal. From what I understand the signal from the "probe" to the base unit works much like a wireless thermometer and then the base unit is plugged into your internet router.

I have always used a taylor greenhouse thermometer, then I got a acurite indoor/ outdoor wireless thermometer but I still have the taylor on the wall in the greenhouse.
A buddy of mine showed me his La Crosse 926-25102-WGB :drool not cheep but really nice.
He has a number of probes that tells...
Just a quick update.
I have new life within the grow chamber. I see about 5 or 6 tomatoes just starting to pop out of the ground. The Marglobe and Rutgers (Burpee Seeds) are starting to emerge from the soil at 6 days and the Rutgers 250 and Rutgers 250 "Schermerhorn" (direct from Rutgers) are...
Are the numbers part of the photo?
If there not you can strike through the numbers that are not available anymore.

I've been using a app on my smart phone that calculates lux and I'm at about 12199 lux which is about the same as full daylight indirect sun.
For comparison here is a screenshot of the lux reading outside direct sun.
Good thing the plants wasn't in the greenhouse.
If your looking for a thermostat, I use a J&D single stage thermostat and haven't had a problem.

To me not all greenhouses are solar.
Some,,,, well a lot of the greenhouses on the market are a "one type fits all" type greenhouse.
The south facing glass angle is very important for collecting winter solar heat. If you have the incorrect angle you'll reflect more of the winters solar heat than...
Basically I'm wanting to find some dealers of these seeds. I'm hoping to plant a number of different Campbell tomatoes and do some experimenting with them.
Thank you for the links, I'm going to send Paquebot a email and see what they have.
Ok, Has anyone seen Campbell tomatoes seeds numbers 24, 31, 37, 222, 19 or any others?
I have found and ordered Campbell 1371, 33, and 146 (KC-146) but cant seem to find any of the others.
Thank You..
I posted these pictures over in @Nyboy Mylar thread but thought I would start one of my own.
The Grow Box is 12x24x16 lined with a Mylar type material and uses two 17 watt florescent grow bulbs. My intent is to use the Grow Box for starting and growing winter green and maybe starting some...
@Nyboy, Here is a small grow box that I made yesterday for starting and growing early winter green and maybe some really early tomatoes. The box is 12x24x16 and only uses two 24" florescent grow lights (the cheep 17 watt ones from Walmart) the material I used on the inside is a Mylar type...
Aluminum Foil is no more than 50% reflective.
Gloss Paint is 55-60% reflective
Flat Paint is 75-85% reflective
Elastomeric Paint (Rubber roof coat) 90% reflective
Mylar 90-95% reflective.
The Elastomeric Paints like Kool Seal works great for exposed wood in a Greenhouse. Lasts for a long time.
Aluminum foil does a poor job reflecting lumen correctly also it will trap heat causing hot spots. A alternative to Mylar would be a Flat White paint which will reflect 75-85% of light. (Mylar reflect 90-95% of light)
If your going to spend the money on Mylar get the better stuff that is meant for grow rooms. Its less expensive, is 6.7 mil and has a poly backing.
Home Depot 4 foot x 25 foot is 29.97 (2 mil)
HTG Supply 4 foot x 50 foot is 51.95 (6.7 mil)...
Most of the orchards and people around here prune heavy and never let there trees get much over 6-8 ft. and the middle of the trees are very open to allow for maximum light and air movement plus its easier at harvest time. If left to grow "wild" these trees would be 10-12 ft. tall or better.
